Amelié puts on her beige sparkling dress with a small coat and dances to herself happily. Today was the day that everything was going to fall into place. At least that what Tommy told her.

He was out conducting business for the first part of his day, so he left Amelié to run her shop until a car came to grab her. She put on very little makeup and let her hair down again.

She felt like a new woman today. Mature, beautiful. Every man would want her but she would be with Tommy Shelby.

After hearing the car horn, she grabs her small purse and walks out to the car. Her smile fades as she notices Lizzie with a few other women in the back and an unrecognizable man in the drivers seat. "May I ask your name?" Amelié asks, concerned.

"He's a friend of the Shelby's," Lizzie says after taking a drag of her cigarette.

"Fancy a cigarette?" one of the girls in the back asks.

Amelié looks back at the girl and accepts with a smile. She also notices Lizzie's unpleasant look. She knew Lizzie didn't like her, but she wasn't going to entertain the petty drama. After lighting the cigarette, they were off to the Epsom Derby.

-

When Amelié and everyone arrive, they see all sorts of things. People were throwing their money at the bookies and chatting up a storm. Amelié couldn't help but smile, she loved the craziness. She had never been to a proper race other than the first time Tommy took her; even that wasn't this crazy.

She looks around, hoping to find someone she was more familiar with. Unlucky, she drags herself to the bar and grabs a glass of whiskey. She remembers Tommy's orders. It was simple: enjoy herself and meet Tommy by the betting place when everything was over.

-

Deciding to walk around after a long stare at the bar, Amelié meets Tommy's gaze from across the room. She runs up and gives him a hug, "I'm nervous Tommy," she says into his chest.

They look into each other's eyes. "Everything will fall into place," he reassures her, "I have business, I must go."

Before he can walk away she grabs him. When he looks back at her, she stares at him. "I love you Tommy, I always have. Please don't forget that," she says sincerely.

"If anything were to happen to me," he says, grabbing her hands, "know that I have loved you since the moment our eyes met."

She kisses him softly and they part. She seemed to be more nervous after that. They both had no idea how the day was going to unfold, and Tommy's words didn't reassure Amelié at all.

-

Tommy has finally convinced Lizzie to do one last job while they have a drink. She was disappointed, but he was glad he got her to do it. He leaves her and walks to the bar.

Campbell had also arrives at the bar. The announcers begin speaking of the races and as room clears, the two of them stand at the ends and stare at the wall in front of them. "Shouldn't you be busy?" Campbell asks, pulling out his pipe and lighting it.

"When you plan something well, there's no need to rush," Tommy answers.

"Do you know something? I actually trust you to do this!" Campbell says, turning to Tommy, "do you think there might be some measure of respect developing between us?"

Tommy says nothing, thinking about how he forced Amelié to spy on his family, raping Polly, and making him kill a man. He takes a drag off of his cigarette that he had just lit. "Old foes that have grown to admire each other... and see each other's professional virtues," Campbell says, staring at Tommy.
