Chapter 10 : The Christmas Surprise. Part 2

~Miles POV~

As we swung back from the county jail I could tell Y/N has something on her mind. "What's wrong ?" I finally ask her. She looks at me and shakes her head sighing. She stops swinging and I do the same stopping next to her.

"Its just weird, how did she know my name?" she says as a statement instead of a question. I shake my head agreeing with her statement as she starts walking. I hurry and follow her. "Maybe she knew your mom or dad ?" I ask keeping up with her pace. She looks at me thinking.

"Its a lot I don't know about my father, so maybe" she shrugs and walks up to the wall leading to her dorm window. I watch her crawl up majestically and caught myself smiling. I start crawling up the wall and reach her window to her pacing back and forth. She stops and throws her mask on her bed.

~Y/N POV~

I got confused and threw my mask down. "Hey want to talk about it ?" Miles says walking up to me. I shake my head and shrug my shoulder "There is nothing to talk about, except the fact that she knows me". He pulls off his mask and making a thinking face. "We can go back tomorrow, I have something I need to show you Y/N" he adds smiling.

"Change out your suit, I'll be right back" he says heading out my door. I hurry and change my suit, I put on some grey jogging pants that Miles left here and a black tank top with my jacket and tied my hair up in a bun. I sat down and pull out my phone waiting for Miles.

The door opens to Miles walking in fast and smiling, he closes the door and reaches for my hand. I grab it and he leaps out the window catching me as we fell. He shot a web and started swinging with me in his arms. "Close your eyes" he says while landing. I close my eyes and hear Miles shuffling through his pockets. "Open them" he says turning me to face him. I see he has a white and yellow box in his hand and he's smiling.

"Miles..." I sigh smiling. He tilts the box indicating to open it, I smile while opening the box. I open it to a necklace shaped like a sunflower. He took it out the box and opens the flower revealing the words behind the flower "you are my sunshine". He ushers me to turn around so I do it. He puts the necklace on me and hugs me from behind.



"Not to ruin the moment or whatever but why did you bring me all the way out here to give me a necklace?" I try to say in the sweetest voice.

"Close your eyes again" He wraps one of his arms around me and shoots a web as I close my eyes. I feel the wind blowing on my face and Miles holding me "Open them now" he whispers in my ear. I slowly open my eyes to a billboard. It was a painting of me but in my suit and Miles in his surrounded by sunflowers. I start to tear up at the fact that Miles would do this for me in the cold. "I love you Sunflower" he says hugging me. I hug him back and he lets out a slight laugh.

"Now lets get the hell out of here, Its cold" he says finishing his laugh and grabbing me swinging back to Visions Academy. He lets me go when we enter my dorm window. I go to close the window and I walk back griping my necklace. I kiss Miles and smile. "Thank you, for everything Miles". He smiles and nods his head "Thank you Y/N" he says hugging me "see you tomorrow, we have a big Saturday ahead of us" he adds joking. I laugh as he leaves out the door.

~Time Skip~

I wake up to my alarm clock ringing and the clock flashing 9:30 am. I sigh and sit up, I gather my clothes and go to the community showers. After I get done showering I walk back to my dorm to do my hair. I brush my hair out and leave it down. I hear a knock at the door and open it up to Miles smiling "Ready ?" he asks I nod my head yes. We leave out my door and out the school.

We finally reach the county jail to see the same guard from yesterday. He looks at us and shakes his head "hey kids this isn't a tourist site". I sigh and approach him "Spider-man and Amethyst-spider sent us to speak with Octavius" I try to convince him to let us in. He starts looking skeptical "Now why would they send two kids like you ?" he asks. "Because were smart ?" I lead with questionably. He shakes his head "No I would need you to prove it" he says shrugging.

Miles steps up "They came yesterday, you asked them what did they want to speak with Dr. Octavius for and they told you its private. Words exactly were spider business. They had 15 minutes to visit" Miles tells the guard. "Believe us now ?" He adds then the guard nods his head yes and leads us to Dr. Octavius's cell.  "15 minutes" The guard says letting us in.

"Your back" she says turning around. "Lets just get to it, you know why I'm here. How do you know me ?" I ask. "I know you because I use to babysit you" she says sitting down. I walk to grab a chair and sit down. "You knew my mom or my father ?" I ask confused.

"I lied last night. Your father and I worked at Alchemy X together, we were lab partners" she says smiling.

"What really happened to my father ?" I ask knowing everything I knew about him was a lie. She sighs and looks down, then back up at me "He faked his death to work on an important science project". I felt my eyes water and widen. "You mean to tell me my father is still alive ?!" I say getting mad. She slowly nods her head. "Yes he is".

"Phin was a good man, he just let his work get to him. I thought he killed you Y/N, how did you get here ? You know...being Amethyst-spider" She asks me. I side smile at her, "Its a long story that we really don't have time for" I finish. She laughs and nods her head. "I need to find my father" as I finish her eyes got wide and she shook her head no.

"Your father is too dangerous Y/N" she adds standing up. Miles gets up from the chair he grabbed earlier and places his hand on his forehead like he just realized something. "Your father is dangerous..." he repeats after Octavius. I shrug my shoulders "yea I heard her".

"Y/N your smart think about it, you knew your dad as Phin Mason, or dad ya know" he says walking back and forth. "The tinkerer is after you for some unknown reason... His name is Phineas Mason" he says this I shake my head no denying his thought, I look at Dr. Octavius who is shaking her head agreeing with him. "No..." I say lightly. "Y/N I know you've thought it since we learned his name, Its not a coincidence that your mom died and her hand writing matched up with Infinity's, not to mention she's working with The Tinkerer..." As Miles finishes I stand up out my chair shaking my head "No...no...no, thats wrong Miles... he wouldn't".

"Y/N he's right." Dr. Octavius butts in. Miles looks at me with pity in his eyes. "Your father is The Tinkerer" he adds.

My father is The Tinkerer...
