Its been a week since my best friend, Mekel found out that I am Amethyst-Spider and Miles is Spider man and I got that note saying "she'll be dead soon". I still haven't found out what Infinity meant by that...if she's the one writing the notes.
~6:30 am~
*Knock knock* I got up out my bed and opened the door to Mekel and Miles smiling brightly.
"W-what are you guys so happy about ?" I yawn out
"We can finally find out who's been writing those notes" Miles blurts out
"How" I move so they can come in
"Ganke found a system that can identify hand writing" Mekel says sitting down on my bed
"And why aren't you dress for class?" She adds
"I'm not going today, I don't feel that good" I say laying back down
"Plus all my work is on the computer, I can do it while laying down" I add
"I hope you feel better boo" Mekel says getting off my bed
"I have to go meet Warren, see you guys later" she says heading out the door
I look at Miles who smiles at me and walks to the side of my bed. "Hey, whats wrong?"
"I feel sick, you know the usual cold" I say with a slight laugh
"Do you want me to stay ?" He ask
"Noooo go to class, its okay" I say smiling
He gives me a kiss, then he gets up. "Bye Y/N"
"Bye Miles" I say as he leaves out the door.
I lay down thinking Miles would turn back around, hoping he didn't. I went and locked the door, grabbed my suit put it on and jump out my window. I have to go back to that place. I thought as I swung to the alley.
I felt someone behind me when I got there. "Just say something Infinity" I sarcastically spit out
"Not Infinity Y/N" I hear a familiar voice say
I slowly turn around to Miles in his suit. "What are you doing here?" I ask
He shakes his head and takes a deep breath while walking closer to me. "Aren't you supposed to be in class" I add
"You couldn't wait huh ?" he ask sarcastically
"If I didn't follow you, you could've got hurt" he adds
"Miles, I'm fine" I say sighing
"Your fine now, we don't know what these people want Y/N" he says angrily. He looks at me and it looks like he is thinking about something hard. I look at him confused.
"We can go in together" he says looking down at me as I move my head back confused. He pulls me deeper into the alley.
He looks at me after pulling me down the alley. I look at him awkwardly. "What Miles?" I ask as he sighs
"Well press the brick" he suggests. I walk up to the wall and press on the wall until I find the brick that I pressed down before. The wall opens up as I look at Miles who has a determined look on his face.
"Ready?" he asks. I look at him and nod my head. I step in first as Miles quickly follows behind. As we enter the wall closes behind us and lights turn on. I walked down the stairs leading to a big open room with lab tables, just like under Fisk tower.
"What is this place" Miles whispers. I look at Miles with a shrug. I walk to a table with a paper on it.
"Another note" Miles asks as I pick it up.
"We knew you'd come Y/N, its just the thought of The Tinkerer. He thinks of all the possible outcomes. We knew this was the most accurate one. Thanks for coming, shall we meet you very soon...without the mask?" I read aloud to Miles.
I stare at Miles as he ponders and paces back and forth. "They knew we'd come" he stops and looks at me. He walks up to me and grabs the note.
"We have to take this to Ganke" he says holding it up
~Time Skip~
I follow Miles into his dorm. Ganke turns around and smile at the sight of us in our suits. "My favorite superhero's, what can I do for ya?" He jokes around and his smile fades as he see Miles face.
"We need you to use your... thingy for the handwriting" I say
"My Handwritten Text Recognition or HTR" he says turning to his computer set up
Miles goes and sits the note on the scanner connected to the computer. Ganke types a lot on the computer I stand there listening to the keyboard, I space out and start thinking about who could this possibly be and why do they want anything to do with me. I pull out my phone and look at the screenshot of The Tinkerers profile.
I read all his data. I look at his name Phineas Mason. "Hey if they have his name on the data base, why haven't they arrested him yet?" I ask. Ganke faces me and slightly laughs
"This guy is so smart, he covers all his tracks" he finishes
"Whats his name?" Miles asks approaching me
"Phineas Mason" I shrug answering Miles. He shots his head up at me and his eyebrows draw down. I look back confused.
"What ?" I ask him narrowing my eyes. After I ask that he starts to say something but then Ganke yells in excitement. We focus on him.
"We got a hit" he says pointing to the computer
"Dr. Lilian Mason" he states. My heart drops as I stare at the screen and see a picture of my mom. My eyes fill with tears and my eyebrows draw down in confusion. I see Ganke's face expression change from excitement to confusion.
"T-That cant be right, she's dead" I blurt out
"W-what ? You know her?" Ganke asks
"Thats her mom" Miles finishes for me as he puts his hand on my back
"Y/N, this machine is pretty accurate, I've tested it about 10 times before you guys came with the note" Ganke adds
"THE MACHINE IS WRONG GANKE!!" I say pushing Miles arm away from me. I start breathing hard. Thinking of the fact that my mom died almost 3 months ago.
"M-my mom died almost 3 months ago. She's dead!" I say backing up against the door.
"Y/N wait" Miles says sticking out his hand
I can't process this. How is that my moms handwriting, she dead. I stare at the screen and see her face, her smiling face. She looks so happy. I feel the tears forming in my eyes as my skin starts feeling hot. I walk up to the computer screen and sit down in the chair.
"M-my mom..." I pause taking a deep breath
"She's Infinity" I say placing my hand on the screen with tears running down my face.
