Chapter 12 : Another Dimension

When we arrived to the other world, I look at the device and it stated in big words "Earth-90214". I show Miles and he nods. "we have to go to the police station" he says. I start walking then I stop "wait a minute...where is it?" I say laughing, Miles laughs and shrugs. "Lets just walk until we find it" he says. So we start walking, we pass a gas station, our school but the name was different its "New freed Academy". I laugh as I look at the sign. "new freed ? Are they serious?" I say laughing. Then Miles starts to laugh.

"Yes, they're serious" I hear a voice say from behind us. I immediately react and jump back holding up my fist as Miles does the same. "Oh gosh" I sigh in relief to the familiar face. "Noir, what are you doing here?" I ask walking in for a hug. "Well this is my home earth" he says hugging back. "Hey Miles, how ya doing ?" he says pulling Miles into the hug. We all let go and smile. "So how did you get here?" Noir asks us. I pull out the device "We have a inter-dimensional travel device, we uh had help" I say nervously.

"Help, huh? From who?" he says looking at the device. "uhh ya know, the local scientist" I shrug not telling him the truth. "Reallyyy ? The local scientist?" he says knowingly. I look at Miles who is looking at me with high eyebrows. "Yea..?" I say. He looks down at the device again, then I look at it, it has a stamp on it that says Octavius. I look back up at him and smile partly. "You had help from an enemy ? How do you know she didn't send you here to get trapped here ?" he says angrily. I shrug "because she knows me, Im like a sister to her. She wouldn't hurt me Noir" I say informing him.

"What are you guys here for ?" he asks. I put the device back in my pocket "to find my mothers doppelganger" I tell him. His face grew with confusion "lets walk, I'll tell you about it". I say.

We start walking and I tell him about the whole story, from start to finish. Im about done when we reach the police station. "So yea, that's why we got help from Liv and why we are here looking for my mothers doppelganger" I say walking up to the doors of the precinct. As we walk in people notice the famous Spider-Noir and smile. "Hi, what can I do for you Spider-Noir?" a lady says walking up behind us. We turn around to Miles' Uncle... Uncle Aaron, but he's a cop. I see Miles face light up with joy. "Hi.." he slips out wiping a tear from his eye. "hi ?" he says looking at him. "we are here on a case, we need files of this women" he says showing a picture of my mom. "Wha- how did he get that?" I say under my breath. He looks back and smirks at me. "yea let me get you those files" he says walking into the back of the precinct.

A few minutes of waiting she comes back with a folder in her hand. "Here you go" he says smiling. We walk out of the precinct and to Spider-Noir's hide out. When we reach the hide out and he opens it up, I walk in first then he does then Miles. "Miles you alright ?" Noir asks sitting the folder on his table. "Yea, yea man Im alright" he responds rubbing the back of his neck.

"Great, lets get to work" I say changing the subject because I know Miles doesn't want to talk about it.  He looks at me and smile. We start combing through the file just to find, each with some pieces of paper from the folder. "Guys" I say reading then looking up at them turning to look at me. They place their papers down giving me their attention "she's dead" I say kinda hurt. They look at me and shake their heads "No, the trail cant go cold here Y/N" Miles says getting up.

"I'll be back with information" he says leaving out. I look at Noir and shrug "well follow him Y/N" he says shooing me. I get up and run after Miles. When I get outside I see him swinging. I follow him till we get to the police station. He dusts himself off and takes a deep breath before going in, I follow. "Hi" he says walking up to his uncle. His uncle turns around and smile "Hey, guy from earlier" he says smiling and joking. Miles stands there for a minute staring at him, then he throws himself in his arms crying. I get hit with the wave of sadness. Aaron reluctantly hugs him back. When he wraps his arms around Miles in return, I smile as Miles holds him tighter.

~Miles POV~

I leave out Spider-Noir's hide out, I feel Y/N following me but I ignore her and go on about my business. I arrive at the precinct and brace myself then walk in. I see my Uncle Aaron standing there, I walk up to him "Hi" I say standing behind him he turns around "hey, guy from earlier" he says joking and smiling at me. I smile back and stand there staring at him. Admiring the face I lost on my earth, he just stood there looking confused but still holding that familiar smile on his face. I feel the tears rushing down and I throw myself into his arms crying. I could feel him reluctantly hugging me and I hug him tighter. I let go and wipe my tears as he starts looking more confused "wha- are you okay kid ?" he stutters out. I smile and nod "no but I'll be better, sorry you... you just remind me of someone" I say.

I hear someone clear their throat from behind me and I look away from Aaron to see Y/N standing there with her hands behind her back.

~Y/N POV~

I smile at Miles as I catch his attention, I look at Aaron "so officer...Aaron, we need your help" I say, he jerks his head back probably wondering how I know his name. "How..." he starts. Then he looks down at his name tag "ohh right". "What can I do for you ?" he says. I sigh "its going to be complicated" I tell him. "I live for complication" he says smiling at me. "follow me to my office" he says then leads us. We reach his office and he opens the door for us, Miles goes first then me, then Aaron.  "Please take a seat" he says pointing at the two chairs across from his as he sits down. "So what can I help you with ?" he asks. "Firstly, what are you guys names ?" he adds.

"Im Y/N Mason" I say smiling. "I-Im Miles Morales" Miles says shyly. "Y/N and Miles, nice names" he compliments. "So Im going to blow your mind but I need you to try and believe me, okay ?" I say fiddling with my fingers. He nods his head in agreement. "Me and Miles are not from the earth, were from another earth and we traveled here to find a lady, the lady we asked about earlier..." I tell him smiling, his eyes widen. He sits there in silence then "why are you here looking for her ?" he finally asks. "Because on my earth she's my mom... my mom who was killed by my dad... long story but my dad is a super villain named the Tinkerer he's trying to kill me with an accomplish named Infinity, who just happens to have the same handwriting has my mother so we came here to see if the Lilian Mason here is Infinity" I tell him throwing a sigh at then end.

He stands up "alright time to go". "No, Im serious" I say getting up after him. "You died..." Miles says catching the attention of Aaron before he opens his door. "what ?" he says facing Miles. "Y-you left me, I thought I coped with it but seeing you... seeing you alive brought all those hidden feelings back." Miles says standing up. "I died ? Are you kids crazy ?" he says not believing us.

"No !" Miles yells. "Miles.." I say trying to calm him down. "Your name is Aaron Davis, your brother is Jefferson Davis and his wife is Rio Morales. On my earth your dead and my dad is a cop instead of you". Miles tells Aaron. "How do you know that ?" Aaron asks him. "Because we're telling the truth" I say as he walks back to his seat. I sit down and so does Miles. "Your two 15 or 16 year olds, what are you doing on a mission like this ?" he says with a thinking face. "Because on our earth Im spider-man and she's Amethyst-spider" Miles says. "I guess I'll help you guys". he says placing his hand on the desk.

"Great !" we hear Noir saying jumping out of the air vent on the ceiling. "lets get started" he says smiling.
