-----------Dippers POV-----------
"What on earth? Uhh Amanda. Why exactly were they after you?" I asked Amanda.

"L-look I-don't k-knowI just... We should get back to the shack." She responded, then turned around and started walking back to the shack, hugging herself.
And I couldn't help but feel a little bad, I wanted to comfort her, and when I looked at Mabel I could tell that she wanted to comfort her too.

"Look whatever's going on you can tell us." Mabel told her, putting her hand on Amanda's shoulder.

"Uhh, yeah! Whatever is happening we can help you!" I said, putting my hand on her other shoulder.

She shook off our hands. "It's nothing, let's just get back to the shack. Your uncle is probably worrying." She replied.

I looked at Mabel, she looked at me. I mouthed the words 'we should probably just drop it' then

she mouthed the words 'yeah, she is obviously uncomfortable around the topic.' We both nodded and followed Amanda.

-----------Amanda's POV---------
When we got to the shack we watched some Duck-Tective until Mr. Pines called us into the kitchen for dinner, Stan-Cakes......
They looked really gross this time and- was that a piece of hair?! They definitely weren't this bad last time...

Still, i didn't want to be rude... So I went to the chair and was about to sit down when Dipper said,

"we should go out for dinner. I mean Amanda is a" I mouthed the words 'thank you so much'

he mouthed words back 'your welcome' he winked, I swear I was blushing. Wait- blushing? That's crazy! Do I have a crush on Dipper? No- no way. Not in a million- well, maybe. Wait do I? Do I have a crush on dipper yes? No? Maybe I-

"Hey Amanda! You coming?!" Dipper yelled from outside, I was so deep in thought I didn't even realize that thy had left.

"Uh yeah! Be right there!" I yelled back grabbing my shoes and scrambling out the door to the car.

"Singing the driving song! Headlights are out! Can't really see where I'm going!" Stan sung from the drivers seat.

"Uhh- is it safe for him to drive like that?" I whispered to dipper.

"Not exactly. But he doesn't exactly obey any laws so......" Dipper replied.

"Ha-ha, that's banay-nays." I chuckled.

"Wow." He whispered, but I heard it.

"Huh? Why wow? What's so wow?" I said making a sparkle motion with my hands at the last wow.

"Oh- it's just you know I've never heard you laugh before, its a pretty nice laugh and-" dipper continued talking but I was focused on Mabel since she was on the other side of dipper
(car order: Mabel Dipper Amanda)

She was making a silly face and mouthing the words that dipper was saying. I started giggling a bit, then chuckling, then I was laughing really loud. Dipper looked kinda hurt. I stopped laughing.

"Oh, dipper, I'm sorry it's just your sister was making really silly faces and mouthing the words that you were saying and I- I'm sorry." I said putting my hand on his shoulder. But then I realized I had still heard the beginning- Oh- it's just you know I've never heard you laugh before, its a pretty nice laugh and-

I blushed and continued, "you really like my laugh?" I asked dipper.

He perked up. "Uhh- yeah, I really do." He replied, the hurt on his face gone. I sighed.

(since the car ride was so long I'm just going to summarize what happened at the diner: Dipper did a lot of party tricks and Amanda laughed at all of them and now Mabel is getting suspicious)

------------Dippers POV-----------
I hopped on my bed.
"Best night EVER!" I yelled, Then quickly fell asleep.
-------------Time Passes-----------
((Still Dippers POV))

I woke up in the middle of the night at 11:30 or so. Then looked over at the place where Amanda was sleeping. She was laying down but her eyes were open.
"Uhh... Amanda?" I awkwardly said.

"Oh, hey Dipper..." She replied, not even turning to face me.

"soooooo, uhh, what are you doing up at this hour?" I asked her.

"I should ask you the same thing..." she replied

"Uhh, yeah. I guess. But- I asked you first!" I yelled.

"Oh, right. Well I couldn't really sleep so..." She answered, still staring at the ceiling.

"Oh... Have any nightmares?" I asked.

"Well... Just one." She admitted.

"Wanna talk about it?" I asked, sitting up and patting the bed, next to me. She stood up, walked over to my bed, and sat down. Then she started talking about her nightmare.

Halfway through it, she stopped. I looked over to see that she was asleep. Siting up and asleep. I sighed. Then she started to lean over ((because of gravity and stuff )) and her head landed in my lap. I was about to shoo it off but, I realized that I was really tired to, so I just grabbed my pillow, set it against the wall and fell asleep.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Sooooooo, there was the chapter! I tried to make it really long. Sorry if it wasn't, also sorry that it took so long to update. I don't know where this weekend went, and I promise I will update really really really really really soon. It might be a short update, just a warning. Anyway, how do you like this book so far?
