Chapter 16: Goodbye

JENNIE's POV

I haven't seen Lisa for two weeks. I can't just asked my brother on her whereabouts. I'm scared on what's his reaction in that case.

I opened my phone and check some messages. All I can see was Taehyung's last messages he sent me days ago. It was all unread so I opened them.

From: Taehyung

Jen, I'm sorry if I'm really busy. My dad and I faced a lot of issues now at the company regarding with me becoming the CEO. He wanted me to settle a meeting with Lisa Manoban, but unlucky she never called us back. We made almost everything to talk to her but she didn't reply.

Whenever I got the chance to talk to her, and tell her to cancel the engagement because it's not good to the upcoming transferring positions in the company. I'll call you back and we'll celebrate. Miss you!

I shouldn't let his messages stay in my phone so I deleted it and tried to call and message Lisa because she's the one who's I wanna talk to but she's not replying. I missed her but I can't do anything.

I'm feeling bored today, Jong Suk oppa told me not to go anywhere and stay inside our house. He's being a super strict brother again. Jisoo unnie told me that she can't come home because she's too busy today. She's telling me the same reason for over six days straight.

The door swung open that made me almost jumped on the couch.

"Jisoo unnie?"

"Jennie, I came here to get my things." She said walking straight to my room. Last last week she said she will stay in our unit because it's nearer than her unit to the hospital where Chae was staying.

"Why in a hurry unnie?" I followed her to my room. She's now packing her things in her luggage.

Then I heard her sobs that made me run into her and enveloped her into a hug.

"What happened unnie?" I asked with too much worries.

"Chae's in a really bad condition now." She sobbed before continuing the story. I was stroking her back.

"She's getting worse faster than we expect and we need to do something before it last." She cried harder this time that made me want to cry too. Chaeyoung is a nice girl and they love each other so much. It's so heart breaking if unnie lost Chae.

"I can't take it if ever she's leaving me Jennie! I can't. I don't want to see her dying. She's my life Jennie! I want to live with her for the rest of my life. I want to marry her and build a family with her. I need her to live." She said with a non stop tears coming from her eyes. I hugged her tight.

"She can make it unnie. Don't lose hope. She's a strong girl. She will be cured." I gave her encouragement to face this hard challenge in front of my cousin.

"That's why I'm leaving. We'll be going to Australia for the better treatment." She informed me when she broke our hug.

"What? How about the movie?" I asked. She's working on a movie with Lisa. She's the lead actress, Lisa's leading lady.

"Lisa went to our boss to talk about the movie. She wants to cancel the filming because she's coming with us." She's back at packing her things.

What? Lisa will go to Australia?

"She didn't told me about that." I said. She paused shoving clothes in her bag.
