JENNIE's POV
I was walking on a busy street near Unnie's building. I want to calm myself. I heard the news yesterday. I heard everything.
"We just met by chance. We are strangers in each other's eyes, we committed mistakes that caught us on a big mess. It ruin lives. Made someone miserable. Made someone broke. And we never cared. We became weak and scared as fucked up idiots. We ran away and never look back."
Her words hit me. Is it for me or for someone? Is it for Irene? But they said that there's no comeback.
But still, she lied to me. It was just a game played by her and my brother. I hate them! I want to go away from them. I don't wanna see their faces, I don't want to hear anything about them.
How can I escape them?
New Zealand.
That's it! I'm going home to my parents. I'll be living with them again. Right, I missed them so I better go to them.
"Jennie?" I came back to my senses when someone called me. I was standing beside the pedestrian crossing. Waiting for the stoplight to turn red.
"Oppa. What are you doing here?" I asked him.
"I delivered something near here." He answered. I nodded.
"Do you want to eat?" He asked.
"I'm not hungry." I said.
"Are you rejecting street foods now?" He asked with a big smile. I immediately look at him.
"I think I my tummy growls just now." I said and hold my tummy. He chuckled and we walked on the pedestrian with other people around us.
"Good." He said and we went to a nearby park. I searched the place and saw the street food stall with the same familiar man in it.
"Good afternoon ajeossi." Joo Hyuk greeted.
"Oh! Hello there Joo Hyuk! And oh my god! Jennie? You're taller than before." He said with wide eyes.
"Aish! Stop teasing me ajeossi." I said. They both laughed.
"Long time no see. I missed the both of you. I thought you would never eat here after you graduated." He said and served us the usual order we had.
"I'm sorry if it takes long ajeossi. I have a lot of things to deal after I graduated." I said. Well it's a lie, Jong Suk oppa didn't allow me to visit street foods stall since he saw me eating takeout at home.
"It's okay. I'll leave you here, I have to check something. Enjoy your foods." He said and walked inside his stall.
We sat on a wooden chair outside with a table infront. The orders we have were tteokbokki, mandu, o-deng, dak-kko-chi and banana milk.
"This is really good! I missed eating all these." I said as I munch the mandu.
"A mandu eating mandu." He teased. I glared at him. But instead of stopping he laughed.
