Chapter 9: AWAY FROM HIM

JENNIE's POV

After Lisa and Irene talked, they came back teasing and laughing with each other. It's like something's cool down between them. Oh yeah, that's a good thing.

Oh really Jennie?

Tss.

The only feelings I felt right now was happiness, yeah. Happiness.

Then after Jisoo unnie ate, we bade goodbyes to them and she drove me home.

"Thanks unnie." I said before entering my brother's house. She left immediately because she had a meeting with their sajangnim. I changed my clothes and slumped on the sofa, it's already five in the afternoon and still Taehyung isn't calling? I know his break was 3 and 5 in the afternoon and he never failed on checking on me. So why now?

I heard a buzzed.

I quickly looked at the door confused. My brother always went home eight or late in the evening and I have no visitor today.

And another buzzed.

I stood up and walked towards the door, I peeked on a little opening and my eyes widen in shock. So I opened the door quick.

"Hey. It's good to see you here. I thought you're outside today." He said smiling but it doesn't reached his ears.

"Come on. Why are you here? It's only your break time." I told him. We walked towards the couch and he sat beside me.

"Uhm, I file a month leave. And it's starting today. And yeah, I'm here for a reason Jen." He said seriously. I furrowed my brows when he held my hands. Not because I don't want to, but because of the curiosity I'm feeling right now.

"My parents knew the news. And they aren't happy Jen. Dad wanted to talk to me. That's why I'm going back to New Zealand for a month." He said with so much exhaustion in his eyes. He's been dealing with so much this past days about the issue and all because of that Lalisa Manoban. Aish! And now he's going back to New Zealand for a month. This isn't good. I need him, I need to see him more often. I need to be with him. If I don't, I don't know what might happen, Lalisa Manoban is a curse and being with her is a really big problem.

"I'll go with you." I said without thinking.

"No. Your brother won't let you." He said while slowly shaking his head.

"I don't care, I want to go with you." I said. But I'm really scared on what my brother can do.

"And to be honest, my Mom wants me to go alone." He lowered his head.

"What are you doing here?" We both got startled and looked at the front door. My brother is standing there with crossed arms.

"We're just talking." I casually said. Taehyung got uneasy but I held his hands tightly.

"Just make it quick. My visitors are on their way." He said and walks away. We looked at each other confused.

"Is he sick?" Taehyung asked with disbelief. I shrugged because I don't know either. We are used to be scolded by him always. But now it's different.

"So, Jen. I'll go now. I need to rest, my flight is tomorrow morning. I can't stay longer and your brother have visitors." He said and stood up. We walked to the door then he stopped.
