Chapter 11 || Internship

I am sitting in the waiting room. My match will start in a few minutes.

I have thought of a few ways Todoroki might try to stop me and if he succeeds in freezing my hand I would be defeated.

So the one thing I need to do is keep my hands free of Todoroki's ice.

I can hear Present Mic over the speakers and make my way towards the stage.

I feel a bit nervous because I've gotten to know Todoroki. He is very strong and I don't want him to end up with Recovery Girl too.

I walk onto the stage and I can see Todoroki, we stand still and there are a few seconds of quiet.

"Ready," Midnight says, Todoroki and I both nod our heads.

"Set,"

"Go!"

Before I can even attack Todoroki ice get's thrown my way.

I don't have time to dodge, I need to break it.

I close my hand and break the ice.

Another wave of ice is right behind it.

I close my hand again and break the ice.

Before I know it more ice gets thrown my way.

This time the ice in cases my left hand.

No, I need to stop him.

I break my hand free and remove the ice.

Todoroki keeps throwing ice at me and I am unable to dodge which forces me to break the ice.

This keeps going for a few minutes. I can now hear my heartbeat and I'm breathing quickly.

I'm getting tired but I can not let him freeze me.

I break more ice that was flying my way and only for a split second can I see Todoroki.

The right side of his face seemed to be frozen in some spots. It looks like he is not doing great either.

I don't get much time before the ice gets thrown towards me again.

I look to my left and see an opening I break the ice and run to the left.

More ice gets shot towards the middle but I make my way around it.

Todoroki spots me and wants to throw ice at me but at this point, I'm to close.

I can see him panicking for a second and his fireside gets lit up.

No, you don't, I close my hand breaking his left arm.

The fire goes out.

I can see his frostbite on his face has gotten smaller most likely because of his fire.

I get more ice thrown my way and I break it and run to the other side of the field.

Todoroki throws ice to my old spot and my eyes are getting blurry from the amount of ice I had to break.

My quirk is taking a toll on me. I close my hand again and at that moment Todoroki makes eye contact with me.

My hand closes and he falls to the ground. Midnight goes to check if he is out.

"Akamori wins!" She yells out.

The second I get declared winner I close my eyes and fall backwards drifting out of conciseness.

"Akamori wins!" Midnight calls out.

I look over at (Y/n) and she closed her eyes and is falling back. I get up from my seat to look if she is okay.
