*Ricky's POV*
Chris never stopped bragging about her. He gave me descriptive details about her rocking body, amazing personality, and what they did in the bedroom...something that made me dry heave out of nowhere anytime the thought came to mind. I knew her briefly, met her once...never have since then. I don't remember anything about her, so it'd be like meeting a new person. Chris mentioned meeting her at a concert in our hometown of Scranton, PA.
Chris has been running around our shared house, cleaning and readying his bed for her. We're picking her up at the airport because she finally agreed to move in with him. I remember a huge fight about that...must be something more to that story. The others are less than interested in meeting the girl they already know too much about.
"Shit, Ricky." Chris stood in front of the television as I tried to watch my show that I had to record on DVR while we were away on tour.
"What?" I grouched, furrowing my brow at my insanely tall friend.
"I'm not done getting ready and her plane touches down in, like, ten minutes." He told me, not moving away from the desirable screen.
"So what?" I shrugged. "Does that mean you want me to go get her." I leaned forward and put out my cigarette in the ashtray on the coffee table.
"I wish you wouldn't smoke right now." He sighed, taking the tray from me and sniffing it. "Especially not that."
"Wow, you're not the Chris I'm used to. You're making me uncomfortable." I stood up, giggling awkwardly. I hiked up my sagging pants and left to get the car keys.
"You're going to pick her up?" His voice was perky. I could tell she meant a lot to him.
"Yeah, sure." I agreed, throwing on a jacket. "You owe me, though."
"Right, thanks, man." He gave me a quick 'bro hug' and I was out the door.
It was a long journey and wait at the airport. Turns out Chris was wrong and he still had an hour. The things I do for friends.
I didn't know who I was looking for until a girl approached me and asked if I was Ricky and I told her yep, licking my lips at her hypnotizing face. She had a baby face, confusing to me, but she was ultimately beautiful. I could tell if we were going to live together, there'd be some trouble. We exchanged names and quickly found out I had to take her home.
"You're Chris' girlfriend?" I asked her, completely confused if she was just a fan or actually who I was looking for.
"Yep." She answered. I squinted my eyes at her in suspicion.
"How old are you?!" That was my first question all along.
"Seventeen...and a half." She whispered. My eyes nearly escaped my head. Chris would date someone that young? Who am I kidding, Vic and Danielle have a ten year time difference. "And how old are you?"
"What?" I nearly lost it with laughter there. "I'm twenty-six."
"Average." She shrugged. That pissed me off as we started to leave to get her luggage.
"Hey, I'm not your typical, stoned, twenty-six year old." I took pride in myself.
"Oh yeah, you're special alright." She giggled, thinking she was some kind of genius.
"Your parents are letting you live with Chris?" I mentioned how she was underage...sort of.
"Dad...and he and I...are at a rough time." Was all she mentioned. I sighed and accepted her answer. People with hard pasts are sometimes hard to handle. "Besides, what's the fun in doing what you're told?"
"You got me there." I had to agree. Half of the shit I do is illegal and I'm perfectly fine. "What about you and Chris? What's up with that?"
"I'm a fan...I just got lucky." She answered me. I don't know if I'd say lucky. Chris is a pretty...uninteresting guy if you really get to know him. "In the beginning, we were just messing around."
"So my room and band mate is just one second tearing your shirt off and now you're going to live in my house." I chuckled, trying to make that sound as least rude as possible.
"Damn straight." She smiled at me, finally headed to my car. "You're mean."
"Mean? Me?" I couldn't believe it. "There's a lot you don't know here." Our voices echoed in the parking garage.
"Don't worry, I know enough. Butthole tounger." She whispered. "That and I can already tell you just sit around and get stoned with thirty year olds and think you've made it big time."
"That was one time!" I shouted at her. "The guys will never leave me alone for that, I swear." I shook my head at the broken pavement. "Jesus, and I have made it!"
"Chill, I'm joking." She gave me a lazy look. That's all girls do, break hearts.
"Yeah, well, shouldn't you be fucking around with somebody your age?" I asked her, making sure I won this argument.
"Don't you worry about me." She looked at me seriously as we got into the car together. "I'm a strong, independent woman." She snapped her fingers.
"God, so annoying." I joked with her. I couldn't help but feel my heart flutter as we fake argued with each other. I couldn't get enough of her face...her personality was already too much for me to handle.
"Just get me home to Chris." She rolled her eyes and looked out the window.
"Right...your home is my home." I reminded myself.
