Taehyung is a student who studies in library every day. one day there is a new cute librarian there and Taehyung is totally and utterly crushing on him.
A short little story of Taekook
Taehyung had put his coat, beanie and scarf into the locker, and made his way to the library.The brunette looked up from his computer when he entered, smiling at him before turning his eyes back to the screen. Taehyung felt as if the room temperature had just risen a few degrees, with the way his heart started beating so fast like it wanted to break out of his ribcage. He sped up his steps to pass the guy quickly and started looking for a table, where ofcourse has a perfect view of a certain bunny looking guy.
Taehyung is glad. The library was almost empty. the outside weather held a great hand in it. Soon after taehyung found a table, the one in the corner of the huge room next to a little palm plant and a dusty red two seated couch. He dropped his stuff onto the table, took a seat and started reading through the notes of the following day lessons.
However, his mind seemed to drift off every few minutes. There was something (well, everything) about that new librarian that made Taehyung's breath go shallow and his stupid heart beating faster, as if he had run a marathon. And he had only briefly looked at his face. Taehyung didn't want to think about what revelations the guy's body might had to offer if he could only get himself to tear his gaze away from his perfect gorgeous face, the result might be dangerous to his sanity.
He only got through half of his notes in the twenty five minutes he spent their until his phone dinged, showing he'd gotten a text.
It was Jimin.
"Come to the break room, we have coffee."
Taehyung grinned, shoving his phone into his pocket and got up. He left his stuff on the table - people didn't steal notes or pens and certainly not a chemistry books anyways he made his way along the shelves and back to the entrance. He loved walking within the maze of books, which were storing more knowledge than anyone could acquire in their lifetime. He didn't care this thoughts were probably nerdy, as if he would share his thoughts with anyone anyway, except Jimin ofcourse. The two share the same brain cells. Probably that's why they are soulmates for life.
Once again, Taehyung walked by the librarian's desk. The new guy was still busy clicking away on his computer, but not too busy to quickly glance up at whoever was passing. Taehyung saw the recognition in the beautiful dark round doe eyes and felt this weird flip in his stomach, he definitely has a health issue he thought. probably because he eats way too much junk foods. That explains his fast beating heart.
As it was not allowed to drink that weren't contained in bottles within the library, Taehyung joined Jimin in the little break room where students could talk aloud to each other, eat and drink. His friend looked as if he straight out walked after jumped in a swimming pool, his hair and jacket dripping with water.
"Something tells me it's not exactly sunny outside", Taehyung remarked as he joined his friend at a small table, smiling at the thought that his comment was similar to the one the cute librarian had made earlier.
"No shit, Sherlock." Jimin looked less than pleased, but handed Taehyung a cup of coffee. "I am not going out there again with the weather being that crazy, even if I have to stay the night here" Taehyung would love to stay the night in the library, especially with the change in staff, but he didn't say anything, just sipped his coffee.
Jimin sighed. "Watch my stuff while I get myself a key, okay?" Taehyung nodded, still in thoughts. His friend got up and left the room, coming back a minute later, looking rather startled.
"Dude, new librarian!"
Taehyung raised his eyebrows. "No shit Sherlock." using his friend own words.
Jimin looked utterly disappointed. "Where's Yoongi hyung the Cutie ? Did he quit? Can you ask him?"
His friend sighed. "I can't believe you're crushing on him for like 1year and haven't even talked to him yet!"
Jimin just stared at him. Taehyung sighed again. "Fine, I'll ask him. I'll see him in my arts class on Wednesday, anyway."
Jimin looked pleased enough to smile which his eyes disappeared "Thanks, dude."
"BUT." Taehyung raised his finger.
Jimin groaned. "What now?"
Taehyung smiled. "You get me the name of that cute Librarian."
Another groan. "You are after that guy that is replacing my Yoongi ?"
"First of all, he's not your yoongi, you are too chicken to even talk to him. Second, I might be, he is so cute and Just quite something."
Just quite something?
That was understatement of the century, obviously.
Jimin looked as if he wanted to roll his eyes very hard, but nodded. "Deal. But don't you dare make me embarrass about the Yoongi thing."
"But that's true" Jimin glared at his friend. Taehyung mock surrendered and raised his hands "Deal".
They shook hands, sealing their pact, finished their coffees and, after Jimin had locked his stuff in his locker, went back to the library to get some work done which is the actual reason they came here for.
