Chapter 3

It was a miracle that the stormtroopers didn't stop me, because I was full on running home. It was raining but I didn't notice because a thousand thoughts swarmed through my head. What is it about? The Jedi maybe, no he doesn't like them that much. Maybe it is on medicine or about his kind! Or MAGIC! Wait no that is not a thing, what is its name? Oh ya! The force. I wonder what Cole would say if he found out....

Flashback

I jumped up from the sound of my sleeping pod being opened. I whipped my head around to see who it was. It was my nightmare.

" Hello " Cole says with a evil grin on his face.

" Go away! " I say. I am not in the mood to deal with him.

"Hey!" Cole growls as his eyes turn cold. " What did I say about talking back!"

I try and crawl away but or there is no place to hide. He grabs my arm and pulls me out of my sleeping pod. I can tell you that a forced fall off of a 3 foot elevated sleeping pod to the cold ground hurts. Trust me I have experience.

Cole knelt down next me and smiled a wicked grin. The fear inside me started to boil. "Wait C..C...Cole I am S..S...Sorry I Promise."

" Stop stuttering Winter it m-m-m-makes you look weak!" He mocked me and slamed his hand into the wall next to me at the last words. He kicked me in the stomach and then started walking away only to stop again.

"Well, well, well, what do we have here" Cole turned around and had a book about the planets in his hand. " You have been reading from Terins now."

" Please! Sorry I won't go back! I won't do anything!" I begged with him. I didn't want yesterday to repeat its self.

" No that's ok, now I can make you get my books for me and I won't have to have him draw my blood. It is perfect. And if he ever lets you see his stash of secret book you show ME. You got it Win!" He walks over to another person standing behind me.

I use all of my remaining energy to turn to see who it is. I groan in pain as I flop over. Julian bends down to my level and looks me down.

" Good" he says to Cole " You want to make sure that you only hit where you can't see the bruise." He forces me up and right before he locked me in he said " You tell mom and you will have a meeting with hell. SLAM

Flash Back Over

I quickly opened the door to our house and checked to see if Noah was home. He wasn't. I walked around the corner to place my book down in my sleeping pod. I pressed the button and then tried you get in until....

"Ahhh!" I screamed. Julian was laying in my bed with his legs crossed and his hands behind his head. "What the heck! Last time I checked this was MY pod."

Julian slowly turned his face to meet mine. " that wasn't a very polite thing to say" He hopped off of his bed. Fear was crawling all over me and I took a step back. " Not so brave now are we" He laughed. He grabbed my hand really hard so that my hand turned purple and pulled me to the kitchen area. " This is what I saw when I got home" He pointed to moms unfinished food. " What did I say about after work? Winter TELL ME what did I say!"

"Mom first, dumb shit later." I looked up to see if he was satisfied, turns out that he wasn't. He pushed me in a way that made me fall down and then he yelled " That is right and you directly disobeyed me Win!" He bent down and lowered his voice. " i really wish I didn't have to do this but I won't stand for that behavior"

"Um ya no." I hear Noah behind me. " She literally did one small mistake you need to calm down." I am not going to lie I am very surprised that Noah even had the confidence to talk to Julian like that. They walk into a different room and I can't see what is going on because I am to scared to follow them. I know I am the worst little sister because I didn't help Noah but I am going to be honest, I was scared. So I opened my pod door which was SO much louder then I remembered it to be. I heard a "HEY" and thundering foot steps coming in my direction.

"Come back here you bitch!" Julian pushed me down and then kicked me in the stomach. " You want to hide in your pod like a baby! Be my guest princess!" He pushed me into the pod and I just laid there with tears in my eyes as Julian locked me in.

I wasn't crying because of the pain. They were tears for Noah, I should have helped. Now he is suffering because of me. Cole was right, Julian was right. I am a worthless piece of space junk. If only I could get out of here and hel..p......
