My adrenaline spikes to the highest it has ever been and I pass out.
When I walked out the door I didn't think about the fact that no one but the stormtroopers would be out. They got to me in 2 minutes. I tell them that I am returning home. They laugh.
And here I am passed out on the floor of a weird moving cart, headed to who knows where.
I open my eyes and I find myself staring up to a mask. I scream, really load. Ya maybe shouldn't have done that. The mask guy hits me in the head and I pass out again.
When I wake up for the second time I'm in a chair but it's not a friendly chair. It's a metal chair that's holding my arms and legs. I'm so uncomfortable, so confused, and my head hurts like hell. A man in a uniform comes into my room. He looks about 45. "So sorry." He says.
WHAT? Did he just say sorry!? "I told my troops to give you a cell, not a interrogation chair. My apologies ma'am." He says all of this while undoing my chair. "I will make sure that you have a bed with some water for you when you find your cell."
I really think something happened to my brain because everything that's coming out of his mouth made no sense at all. Two stormtroopers come into the room and take me out of the chair and out into the hallway. For some reason my feet are bare but the rest of my clothes are intack. My forehead stings and based on the warm sensation above my left eye, I am bleeding.
All around me things are moving and there is too much to look at. My head hurts and my eyes are tired so it's like I'm in a daze where every little thing triggers my brain. Stormtroopers are marching back and forth, tiny robots crawl on the walls. The cold, black floor underneath my feet feels good, but I can only imagine what it has touched. It's only after I see a stormtrooper carry out a cold, still body that I come to my senses. I am afraid. You would be too if you had just been captured by a terrorist group that runs the galaxy. Not to mention that my nightmare of a brother could be behind my kidnap.
We turn a corner and they throw me into a small cell with tall ceilings. I don't understand why they would put me in here instead of in the scary chair, maybe my brother?
After the two guards leave, I take a look at my surroundings. A small bed sits in the corner and they were kind enough to give me a blanket. Next to the bed, a black square sits on the floor and resting on it is a glass of water. I try to walk toward the water, but I realize that the only reason I made it all the way to the cell was because all of my weight was on the soliders. I fall down to my knees and pain rushed up my leg until it ends at my neck. I almost black out again, but not before I crawl my way to the bed and curl up into a little ball. I then welcome my dreams and nightmares.
I see Noah running from something with his hand clutching a piece of paper. His left eye is bleeding just like mine and he looks like he's running to a junk yard with a bunch of old ships.
Things change to flashing lights, water splashing, blood pouring, hot sun, cold snow, and then.... a beach. And mother. She is sitting above the waves, just floating. Her eyes are closed but she opens them and looks at me and whispers, " Hurry, come back," and then a big wave washes her away. I wake up to the sound of me screaming "MOM!"
I bolt up and just sit in the bed for a couple minutes until I remember where I am. I take a deep breath to calm down and then turn to the side of my bed with the water. Remmie had taught me enough to not drink anything before knowing that it is not poisonous or truth telling. I sniff some of the liquid, but it has no sent. I then pull out my crystal necklace. My mom gave me the necklace when I was born, and I have never taken it off. I dip the end of the crystal in the liquid to see if it will disintegrate, but nothing happens. I lift the drink to my parched lips and swallow the tiniest bit, just until I know that it's only water. After that I finish it in one gulp.
I want to go back to sleep, but I'm not ready for more nightmares, and to be honest, I am not at all tired. There aren't any windows in the cell, but from the looks of it, I would say I was a sleep for a long time.
I pull my legs over the side of the bed to asses any damage that I could have acquired. My head hurts, but not as much as before, and the bleeding that was over my eye has stopped. I pick off some dry blood and then move my attention to my leg. Just moving it over the bed makes it throb, but I can't see any visible wound. I try to stand up, but it's no good.
Even though my mind isn't tired, my body is. With all that's going on about Julian and the kidnap, it deserves a rest, so I stay in bed and think about what's going to happen next, and why I am in a cell. Usually they just kill anyone that is out passed curfew, but hear I am, alive, not well. I wonder if Cole is on this ship; or where ever I am. What about Noah and mom? Do they think that I am gone forever like Remmie?
After a few hours I get to know my cell better: there is a camera – which they failed to hide – in the right corner above the locked door, and a vent behind and bellow my bed. I am sure that the vent is rigged with poisonous gas that will be triggered if I try to escape through the vent, but it does get me thinking about escaping; and if it's even worth trying to get out.
Outside of my door I hear footsteps come to a halt, and the fear I had before comes rushing back. I look at the door to see who's coming to pay me a visit, and thankfully it's not Cole. Two stormtroopers and one man in all black come in. On the man's chest there is a pin and he has a hat on. The door closes behind him and I can't help but jump at the loud sound.
"Well, well, well, what do we have hear?" Says the man with the pin. I don't know what to say so I say nothing and try my hardest to look brave as he walks closer to me. He pulls out a roll of something and places it on my water table. When he unrolls it, my brave face vanishes. He has a packet of tools and needles filled with liquid; which, by the way, doesn't look fun.
"Don't worry," he says seeing my face, "We won't have to use those if you are willing cooperate with us. Besides, I wouldn't want to hurt that pretty face of yours." He stops pacing and turns to look me right in the face. "What is your name?"
"I like your pin, what does it mean?" I decide right then that I'm not going to give them anything that they want, even if it kills me.
"I will ask you one more time; what is your name?"
"Does more pins mean that you are higher ranking?" I smiled at this one because he only has 2 pins which would mean that he isn't very important.
"How old are you?" He says sternly.
"I would hate to have to wear an ugly uniform like that all the time."
"Have you ever heard the term rebel, or jedi before?" At this point I had pushed all the right buttons and he was almost to his breaking point.
"What about your family? Are they here too or did you have to say goodbye to them?"
"Enough!" He screams, and then storms out the doors. Weirdly enough, the stormtroopers don't follow. They come closer. My heart stops as one of them grabs my arms and forces me to stand up. I try to fight against them, but it is no use. I am a peanut to them. The other stormtrooper grabs a needle and before I can scream he injects it into my neck.
