AN: i think this chapter speaks for me in regards to some of yall solely siding with sana. the audacity...
It had been days since Dahyun and Sana's fight and Dahyun felt like shit. She had been ignoring Sana's calls, too, because she needed time to think.
The situation was so damn complicated. No one was in the right but no one was really in the wrong. Well, except for Dahyun's father but they had a long talk on the weekend. The gist of it was that Dahyun refused to talk with her father until he apologised for his behaviour.
That was going to take a while, even with Dahyun's mother's prodding.
So now Dahyun was left with a dilemma: what was she going to do about Sana? The Japanese woman had blown up at dinner, letting her pride get the better of her and disregarded that that dinner was extremely important for Dahyun's relationship with her family. On the other hand, Dahyun understood why Sana blew up like that and couldn't fault her for defending herself and Dahyun.
At the same time, she thought about her role in the situation. Was she to blame? She knew that she let her emotions get the better of her when she chased after Sana. She could've discussed the situation with Sana like an adult but she didn't. Even though Dahyun deserved to be angry, the way she handled the situation only made things worse.
And the guilt was eating Dahyun alive. The sight of a teary-eyed Sana was keeping her up at night.
She was laying on her bed staring up at the ceiling. Ahri was sitting beside her, just happy to be so close to his owner. Dahyun turned to look at him and sat up.
"What do you think I should do, boy?" Dahyun asked.
Ahri only blinked at her.
"Do you think I should go talk to her?" Dahyun asked again.
Ahri wagged his tail this time. Dahyun supposed that was the closest she'd get to an answer.
She stroked his fur and said, "I hope she forgives me. I miss her so much, it hurts."
The dog only looked up at Dahyun with big, eager eyes. He still looked at Dahyun like she held the sun up in the sky every morning. And honestly, that was all she needed right now.

For the first time in a long time, Dahyun felt awkward walking into the Minatozaki building. She felt like she was stepping into enemy territory and like all eyes were on her.
It was all in her head, of course, but she was still anxious.
Keycard in hand, Dahyun swiped it in the elevator and was carried up to the top floor. Dahyun fidgeted as she waited for the elevator to carry her up. A thousand scenarios were running through her mind and only a few ended well.
Finally, the elevator dinged and the doors opened. Dahyun took a deep breath and stepped into the office.
Sana was sitting at her desk, scribbling signatures and going through various papers. She looked so tired and Dahyun just wanted to wrap her up in a hug.
The Japanese woman didn't look up from her papers as she said, "I thought I told the receptionist that I was receiving no visitors until further notice."
Dahyun smiled gently and said, "I didn't ask the receptionist."
Sana's head snapped up at the sound of Dahyun's voice. Her mouth hung open and she jumped to her feet. She moved quickly towards Dahyun before coming to a halt a few feet in front of her. A respectable distance. She stared at Dahyun as if she would disappear any moment now.
Dahyun wasn't leaving any time soon.
"Dahyun-ah." Sana breathed out.
The Korean girl watched Sana's fingers flex, a sign that she wanted to reach out and touch Dahyun. She wanted to, too, but she knew that they needed to talk.
