Dahyun was walking into Sana's office as she had done countless times before. Class had ended earlier and Dahyun was planning on surprising Sana with a quick visit. She thought nothing of it as she travelled up to the penthouse floor and stepped into her office.

"Unnie, I'm-" Dahyun called but the words died on her tongue.

Sana was sitting at her desk, as usual, going through some papers. The problem was who was standing next to Sana, leaning over and being far too close for Dahyun's liking. Both of them were looking straight at Dahyun.

"Oh, sorry." Dahyun said, "Am I interrupting?"

"No, no!" Sana immediately said, before jumping to her feet.

The other woman backed away and allowed her to do so. Dahyun watched as the woman watched Sana with a bemused face and a grin.

Dahyun focused back on Sana who was making her way to her. When Sana was in arms-length, Dahyun held her hand out. Sana seemed to recognise the atmosphere and pulled Dahyun into a one-armed hug.

"You're back early." Sana murmured, pressing a kiss to Dahyun's head.

Dahyun said stiffly, "I wanted to surprise you."

But I got the surprise instead. The words hung in the arm between them. Sana licked at her lips and stared at Dahyun, trying to read her face. When she couldn't, Sana turned back to look at the other woman.

"This is Yoo Jeongyeon." Sana said, "A business associate of mine."

The other woman, Jeongyeon, chuckled and flicked through Sana's papers. Dahyun already didn't like her vibe. The way she walked around like she owned the place, like she belonged there.

"Business associate. You wound me, Sana-ssi." Jeongyeon said, smirking at her.

Dahyun clenched her jaw and nudged Sana. The Japanese woman caught on and said, "And this is Kim Dahyun. My girlfriend."

Jeongyeon's eyebrows shot up and Dahyun felt a surge of satisfaction go through her. Damn right she was Sana's girlfriend. The one and only.

"Girlfriend, huh?" Jeongyeon asked as she walked over, "What happened to 'I don't do girlfriends'?"

Sana smiled over at Dahyun and said, "Things change."

Dahyun felt warm all over. She felt proud at Sana's words but she also had to wonder: why did Jeongyeon say that? What kind of history did she and Sana have?

Jeongyeon checked her watch and said, "I better run. Besides, I don't want to disturb the happy couple."

Dahyun rolled her eyes. She knew it was rude but she was far too annoyed to care. She watched Jeongyeon walk around them with a clenched jaw and stiff body.

"Stop by again, Jeongyeon-ssi." Sana said, adding, "When you have time in between flirting with that librarian."

As Jeongyeon left, she said easily, "Don't bring Jihyo into this."

And then she was gone. Leaving Sana and Dahyun standing in each other's embrace in the middle of the room.

"I've missed you." Sana said, leaning in for a kiss.

Dahyun, no matter how annoyed she was, would never refuse a kiss from Sana. She kissed Sana with a passion, pouring everything she had into that kiss. Sana must've been surprised, judging by the squeak she let out. Dahyun wanted to use that kiss to remind Sana that they belonged to each other only, never to anyone else.

When they pulled away breathless, Sana adjusted her tie and caught her breath.

"And I see you missed me, too." Sana said, laughing quietly.
