"Jen, are you serious about this?" Jisoo, YGX publicist and also my manager asked.
"I won't repeat myself again, Soo."
I left them in the leaving room and head to the kitchen. Grabbing some high glass I fill it with water. I slowly lifted it on my lips and on my peripheral view, I could see Jisoo approaching.
"But this might affect your future activities and worst your career, Jen! All for this dating rumor!" Jisoo continued finally standing behind me.
"It's actually reportedly dating already, Soo." Lisa sat in front of me and grabbed some apple on the table. "Dispatch got them on tape while they went out to Sky Park."
Lisa is my makeup artist along with her twin Roseanne my stylist they formed a strongest team in the YGX house. We're kind of friends along with Jisoo even before I debuted four years ago. Jisoo is now married to Kim Junmyeon.
"I know, Lisa. But what Jennie wanted to do is something risky. Confirming the news when they're not actually dating? And can you imagine Taehyung's fans, their group fandom's reaction? Knowing Jennie's reputation in the industry, do you think this will pass just like that?" I could feel how stress and disappointed Jisoo is in right now. "And why are you out with Taehyung that night? Why didn't you bring Bokyung oppa with you?"
I sighed exasperatedly slapping my forehead. I'd be more stress staying here watching them fight than reading some hate comments against me.
"Well, looks like it's too late to argue that when Taehyung's company just confirmed the news already.." Lisa shrugged before tossing her iPad on the table. "Not that bad. Jennie's single went back to chart an hour after the news broke out."
Silence filled us as Jisoo scrolled through Lisa's iPad. Checking the articles, various charts, and twitter. Her frown getting more deeper the more she scrolled up.
"We have to do some damage control before everything blows up.."
I know it's all a mess out there but I'm just too tired right now. A bit nervous what would be his reaction.
Oh, I'd love to see the look on his face when he finds out. I small smirk curved on my lips as I went back to my room to get my phone.
Jisoo's serious face greeted me when I came back. I sat on the high stool and lean forward into my island table.
"Kim Minseok will step down as the CEO effectively today and.. the new appointed CEO will be formally introduce this Friday. But with the mess Jennie is in, he wants to settle it first thing tomorrow on his office."
"Should I start preparing for my outfit tomorrow on the 7th floor?" I asked softly, twirling some of the strand of my hair.
"Why tomorrow? The fans and the entire netizens on the internet are waiting." Lisa interrupted but was hushed by Jisoo.
"Jen, this is not the right time to joke around. For once, be serious because this is not funny anymore. Your entire career is at stake here."
I smirked more and spin around to face her. "You know I don't care anymore, Soo."
"You really want to piss him off on his first day, huh." Lisa drawled lazily.
What else can I do? I can't wait to end my contract on that damn company and take my leave. Though I'll probably miss my team and YGX staffs I've been close with, still it won't stop me from leaving.
As much as I'd like to see him about to take his downfall soon, I don't want to stay any longer during his reign as the new CEO of that company.
I hate him so much that I'll make sure during my remaining stay on that company would be his living hell!
"It's been already years now, Jen. You moved on. You're successful now. You got everything. Stop making things worse for you again.."
But the pain I don't deserve four years ago is still here. And I hate him every time for that.
"Shit. BigHit send their representative on YGX, this is urgent."
"You want me to do your makeup today?" Lisa asked when clearly she's too lazy to even stand up.
"No thanks. It's your job but I can manage today." I left her and went back to my room to change into a casual fits.
"Jisooni wait up! I'm coming with you!"
"Not now, Lalisa. We're in the middle of a problem."
"I know. But this will gonna be so exciting! She's gonna meet him!"
I could still hear Lisa's giggling sound even from my bathroom.
"Why would BigHit send their representative if this could be done via phone call, they already confirmed the news without our consent."
Jisoo and I stared each other before turning to Lisa.
"What? I'm just asking!"
"Well, you're not helping.." Jisoo coldly told. "Is Roseanne coming?"
"I messaged her earlier but I don't really see the need of stylist in the meeting.." Lisa rolled her eyes and cross her arms.
It was my turn to roll my eyes and said. "I don't even see a need of you to come with us too.."
The whole ride Lisa was quiet. Jisoo would constantly check for any bad articles needed to taken down while her phone kept on buzzing. Probably those media men who wants to fish some answer after BigHit already released their statement.
"Before we get there let me ask you again. What are you doing with Taehyung in the Sky Park that evening?" Jisoo put down her iPad to focus on me.
"We're like kinda dating? Sorta."
"For real?!"
Lisa who almost fell on her seat. She leaned forward from the backseat with eyes wide open.
"I'm trying. You want me to completely move on? This could work."
"But.." Lisa seems she has something to say but chose not to say it anymore.
