❝Flirtation❞

I STARED INTO HIS EYES, HE DIDN'T SMILE, just why is he so hard to understand?—why was I so desperate to stay with him?—I didn't understand anything about him, he's an unreadable book.

He tilted his head, I could see my own face in his eyes, they were so innocent—unlike him. He frowned to himself, his hand falling by his side. "No, no." He muttered to himself, staring at the floor. I looked at him, without moving, without feeling.

He held his head, as if he was in pain. I knitted my brows lightly in worry, reaching out to touch him—stop. A voice whispered at the back of my head. And surprisingly, I stopped, just staring at him in pain.

Just say it. Say it if you're in pain, why do you try so hard?—I clutched my heart, feeling it beat fast. Why does it happen when I'm around him?—I didn't realise when my eyes filled with tears, I sniffed, why would you cry for someone like him?—I chuckled, a tear falling from my eyes, I don't know—I wiped my tears.

"A-Are you okay?" I asked him with a stuttering voice as I reached out. He pushed my hand away, glaring at me. "Stay away." He gritted his teeth, still holding his head.

"You're weird." I mumbled, stepping back. I turned away from him, walking back to the couch he was previously sitting on.

I giggled to myself as I gripped the side of the couch I was sitting on. I whined, feeling a sudden pain in my neck. I got up from the couch, my head spinning as I walked, I winced when I twisted my leg. Jungkook scoffed loudly behind me.

"Idiot!" He said, sticking his tongue out. "Don't call me idiot!" I yelled back, my eyes tearing up as I sat on the floor, holding my foot. "You are an idiot." He crouched down next to me, yanking my leg towards him. "Y-You pervert!" My eyes widened, I yanked my leg back, cheeks getting red.

"You stupid! Let me see." He said, titling his head. "Are you that shy?" He asked, aggressively pulling my leg. "Let me go! I hate you!"

Perhaps—my words hit him too hard, he looked at me with a blank, indistinguishable face, he got up, licking his lips. "Alright." He shrugged, walking away from me. I watched as he walked away from me, feeling unusual.

Why?—I frowned, looking down at my leg. "It's not swollen." I said, my eyes tiredly staring at the floor. "I want to go home." I muttered, sighing loudly. I winced, getting up.

Jungkook sighed loudly, shoving his hands in his pockets. "What's wrong with me?" He knitted his brows, staring out of the large window. The lights of the city illuminated, it was pretty.

"I should ditch her." He licked his lips. "What a nuisance. I shouldn't even have tried to help her, but she—" He paused, sighing. "She looks like you, just why you?" He said, leaning against the glass.

He could see her, through the cameras, the way she frowned, the way she smiled, the way her eyes teared up without even realising, the way she laughed, the way her cheeks turned scarlet because of the alcohol—everything was beautiful.

Her beauty was not much appreciated, maybe because it didn't meet the society's useless standards, but somehow—it was attracting him. He leaned his head on the window, his eyes tiredly watching her walk here and there, drunk.

"She's dumb. But.." He looked down at his shoes, eyes closing. "She's still pretty." He said,

"Is it because I'm drunk?" He mumbled, raising his brows. "Why do I.. Feel so weird?" He asked, scoffing. "Probably." He said, clenching his jaw,

"I won't fall for her."

I scoffed, "Hey, just give me another bottle." I chimed to the waiter in annoyance. He gave me an apologetic look, "I'm sorry, I don't speak Korean." He said in English, I rubbed my shoulder, not able to understand him.

"Forget et." I tried hard to say in English, although I was not confident about pronunciation, he seemed to understand me well. He nodded his head, walking away.

I sighed, "Who's even the owner of this stupid bar? They only speak French and English, so what about Koreans?" I frowned, shaking my head in disappointment.

"Hey." I turned to the masculine voice, seeing a man leaning against the wall. He didn't seem like a Korean, "I don't spak English." I hit my head lightly at my idiotic pronunciation.

He raised his brows. "No need." He said, licking his lips as he walked to me. "Are you flirting?" I asked in Korean, knitting my brows. "We don't need to speak in bed." He said. "I don't undersatnd you." I said, stepping back from him.

He stepped to me and grabbed my forearm, giving me a sly smirk. "Let's talk when we get out of here." He said, trying to drag me out.

"What?" I pushed him away, holding my chin in confusion. "We can't communicate, why're you still trying, get lost." I glared at him, moving my hands as I tried to shoo him away.

"Aye, don't be so mean. Let's have some fun." He tried to grab me again, I grew annoyed and slammed my hand on the table. "Don't you understand. Get lost." I said in English.

He clenched his jaw, grabbing my shoulders tightly. I flinched when he pulled me towards him, moving his hand in his pocket, he pulled out a gun.

My eyes widened in shock, "G-Gun." I muttered in fear, already feeling myself getting sobered-up. "Let—"

As if the world paused for a split second, I was relieved.

For the first time, I was relieved and happy to see his face,

Jungkook.
