❝Truth❞

I SMILED AT THE PEOPLE WHO LEFT HAPPILY, trying to avoid the annoyed ones. Many reporters were pleased by my answers, many had already beaten me up by slippers in their heads. But somehow, these things didn't matter much to me.
"You're actually more bold than I thought." Jungkook said, I glanced back at him, seeing as he pulled out his car keys and opened the door for me. "I'm not bold, I was just stating facts." I shrugged as I got in, not feeling well with the word bold used for me.
He stepped inside, shaking his head as he started the car, driving past the main gate. "No, you are bold. You just roasted the hell out of them." He nodded.
"No."
"Yes."
"No."
"Yes."
"No—fine, you win." I sighed loudly, leaning back on the seat. "If you act bold like that all the time, I'll totally fall for y—" He stopped midway, an awkward silence filling the air. I cleared my throat, "Why? Why only if I'm bold? Why not me as just me?" I asked, not wanting an offending answer.
"I just liked the boldness you had. But I'm not saying I don't like you as who you are." I pressed my lips, "Yeah sure." I muttered, looking out of the car window, my eyes slowly started drooping. "No!"
He suddenly yelled, making me flinch. "W-What?" I asked, he gulped, I could see the sweat glistening on his forehead. "I—I" He just coun't say anything, nothing.
I actually am starting to love you.
This was so difficult for him to say, anxiety built up inside his mind, clouding. He wanted to say he saw his Seran in her, big couldn't, just couldn't.
"What happened? Why're you sweating so much?" I asked him, frowning as I tried to touch his forehead. He instantly jolted away from my touch, stopping the car. "W-We're here. You go in first." He gulped, leaning back on the seat. "But y—" He shook his head, "I-I'm fine."
I sighed, nodding as I walked out of the car, walking inside the house with heavy steps. As soon as I opened the door, I flinched at the woman in front of me.
"J-Jihee?" I squinted my eyes at her. "You.." She bit her lips, grabbing my hand. "This is it. Come with me." She dragged me up to my room, I followed her without resisting, seeing the anger in her eyes.
She pushed me inside and closed the door with a slam. "What—" She bit her nails. "Why're you suddenly so close with him?" O stiffened at the question. "W-What?" I tilted my head my in confusion. "He-he's an a*shole. He's not yours, stay away from him." She gritted her teeth.
"What are you even saying?" I asked, scoffing. "You're desperate to know why he married you, right?" She grinned, "I'll tell you."
I stepped back as she stepped in, "He's the reason why Seran is dead. Seran was his fiancee, but because of him, she's dead. He married you not only because you look like her, but because he wanted to use you to forget her, use you as an object. When he's bored of the world and you, he comes to me, when he's bored of me, he comes to you. He's nothing but a man who's going to use you as an object. Nothing else. He doesn't love you."
The words were hard to swallow, I just blankly stared at her eyes, unable to say anything. "If you've got any doubt, go ask him yourself." She said, a sly smirk on her face.
I could feel my legs shaking, "N-No—" I stopped when I heard the main door being closed. Glancing at her one last time, I walked out of the room, my eyes stinging with tears as I walked down to him.
"Hae—" I stopped him, holding his collar, "You..you're not using me as an object, right? You didn't kill Seran right?"
He froze to his spot, his eyes fixed into mine, no answer and no question in them, his lips quivered as he stared at me, "Who told you that?" I knitted my brows, "Tell me—" He cut me off, "Tell me who the f*ck told you that!?" I flinched when he gripped my shoulders, eyes stinging.
"Ji..he—" He pushed me aside, "Come out!" He yelled. I watched as Jihee carefreelessly came out, smiling at him. "I told you to listen to me." She whispered to him, "Get the hell out of my house." His voice shook as he pointed at the door, hands shaking. "Get the hell out of here."
She shrugged, walking to the door, she glanced at me one last time, still smirking before she left.
"So..it's true." I nodded to myself, still looking at the closed door. "Just like I thought, you're a f*cking liar." I said, looking back at him.
"No." He shook his head, tears falling down. "Yes it is, you a*shole." I chuckled, "You know what? I'm leaving. I'm done with you and the things around you. I knew it from the start. I'll get my father's treatment done myself. I don't need you anymore." My voice cracked and tears fell down my eyes as I said those words, backing off as he stepped closer to me.
"No..don't leave me." He said. "I will." I gritted out, turning to move out.
He grabbed my hand back, pulling me back and grabbing my face, "You have to believe me." He said, sobbing, "I love you."
He closed his eyes and kissed me.
