❝ Jealousy❞
______________
THE NEXT MORNING, AGAIN, I WOKE UP alone, with no one in the room, I laid back on the bed and sighed, looking at the ceiling, my eyes fought back the sleep I still had. Sloppily—I got off the bed, holding my head as I hit it twice.
I groaned, holding on the washroom door. "What's wrong with me?" I quietly asked myself, my brows knotted deeply as I licked my dry lips—he left you again, can't you see?—I chuckled, walking in the washroom.
—Is that a thing to worry about? Even I don't care—I talked to myself, my negative and positive side having a bickering together as I applied the toothpaste on the toothbrush, putting it in my mouth.
Nothing will change, even I want to, I won't be going back to the day I first met Jungkook, and give him a big no. I won't be going to the wedding day and convincing myself to run away, I won't be going back to the time when I was younger—when I was happy with my family—nothing will change.
Time didn't wait for me, and it will never do so.
I walked back to the room, rubbing my eyes. I glanced at the door when I heard a light knock, I walked to it, opening it.
"Ma'am." A voice said softly, I peeked behind the door to see the same woman from yesterday, she smiled lightly. "Dress." She announced. I smiled back at her, chuckling.
"Yes." I nodded—remembering the most important part. I followed her into the room, "Can't I just wear casual clothes?" I asked her, knitting my brows. She gave me a surprised look, lightly shaking her head.
"Sir's mother was really strict about dress code." She said—was?—I gave her a confused look. "Was?" Her smile turned down—she frowned. "She passed away years ago." She said, a sad expression forming on her face.
She looked up again, "But she was kind. Just like you." She smiled, making me smile too. "You think I'm kind?" She nodded, "Really kind. More kind than any woman whom I ever met."
I couldn't help but chuckle at her words, "Thank you. You're too cute." Her brows raised, cheeks turning red. "Uh-um. The dress, what about this white one?"
She pointed towards the white floral dress, trying to change the topic of her cuteness. "Anything you like." I replied, looking around.
"Ah." I turned to her again, "I didn't get your name last time, what's your name?" She turned pale—as if scared. "H-Hana." She said in a stuttering manner, I nodded,
"Introduction, huh?"
I froze upon hearing the familiar, masculine voice right behind me, Hana gulped. "I-I'll get the dress ready." She muttered, taking the dress out of its spot and quickly walked out of the room.
I quickly moved forward—turning. Jungkook raised his brows at my quick instinct, his arms crossed around his chest—but he wasn't in his office attire—
I smiled. "You aren't gone to office yet?" I asked him, wanting him gone. He stepped forward, "Why honey, you want me gone?" He asked, raising his brows. Yes—I shook my head, "No, it's not that." I said, trying to move away from him, but he just held my hand.
His eyes were suspicious. "Are you perhaps hiding something from me?" He asked—what's there to hide?—I stared up at him, shaking my head. "Why would I?"
He stepped even closer—closing the gap between us—he raised his brows, "Then why are you avoiding me?" I knitted my brows, "Why would I do that? I'm not avoiding you." Yes I am—I said, he stared back at me.
"Are you sure?" He asked, clenching his jaw. My eyes fell on his lips, unwantingly. Why did you have to be so cruel yet so handsome?—I thought, his face was shining in the dim lights of the room.
"Yes." I replied, yanking my hand away from his grip, I smiled at him, "I'm sure, there's nothing I have to hide. Do you?" I asked—his eyes twitched. He grinned, holding onto my cheek,
"Of course not." Don't lie so easily—I grinned at him, "See?" I said,
"Ma'am." I turned to the voice, finding Hana. Her face was still pale—is she sick?—she cleared her throat. "D-Dress." She muttered.
"I'll leave." Jungkook said, giving me a smile—even pretend smiles for me?—before he left, glancing at Hana once. She sighed after he left, walking in while clutching the dress in her hands, "What's wrong?" I asked her, making her shake her head.
She smiled, "Nothing, here." She said, handing me the dress,
"Now I'll leave." She said, bowing as she left.

I watched as the maids roamed around, cleaning the house. I wondered why did he even have so many maids?—he doesn't even stay home most of the time.
My eyes followed their movements with a bored expression, everything was getting boring day by day, nothing happened—why does this sound familiar?—I chuckled to myself.
The only thing I can do is—eat, sleep, repeat—nothing much to do, no one to talk. Even though there are like so many maids, there's no one who has the guts to talk to me.
I just feel like going back home, where I can run around, talk to myself, wear whatever I want—or even roam naked—this place is nothing but a hell hole.
Jihee. One name that has been roaming in my mind constantly. She seems suspicious, as if she isn't afraid like all these others, as if she's a queen—it's not like I'm jealous of her, but the way her eyes are sharp, while the others are so scared—seems weird.
My thoughts were interrupted when I heard footsteps behind me, I leaned back on the couch—already knowing who it was. "What are you doing?" Jungkook's voice echoed behind me, he came and sat next to me, a book in his hand.
I glanced over at him, "Nothing." I replied blankly. I felt glances at me, from the corner of my eyes, I could see Jihee—glaring at me—I immediately became uncomfortable under her fireball eyes—is she jealous or what?—
I felt Jungkook get up beside me, I looked up at him, finally noticing that he was dressed—formally—he tossed the book on the table with a loud thud—I could feel some of the maids flinch, he stared at me blankly.
"Then get ready." I raised my brow at him—not understanding his point.
"We're meeting my parents."
