The party hopped from one pod to another. They knocked on countless pod doors. Once they reached the bottom, all the lines in the contract were signed. The list includes Matthew the priest for morale, Jake for light, James for dark, Peter the mathmetician for logic, his wife, Martha the painter for creativity, and Peggy the psycologist for anxiety.

They jumped out of the relm just in time. The souls were hesitant at first but they managed to jump through the portal. The souls jumped for joy as they were able to live another day.

The party chuckled. "Umm, excuse me, is there anything funny in particular?" Thomas says with a smile. The portal closed behind them. Thomas looked tired, he has bags under his eyes and he was still in the chair where he sat when they left.

"Oh, dad!" Tom hugged his father. "We found people willing to sign. Meet Matt, Jake, James, Pe-"

"I'm sorry, am I not seeing something? Oh right! Only you could see them, Tom. They are souls. You signed contracts with them." Thomas says with a smile. "Oh."

There was a knock on the door. "Thomas, dear, it's 2 in the morning, just go to sleep." Mary says fom behind the door. "Mary, Tom and his friends are back."  Mary kicks open the door and rushes to hug Tom.

"Ma, i c-cant.. breathe." Mary loses grip of him a little bit. Mary was wearing her red night gown, her hair in a low ponytail. Her hair frizzed up a bit, making it look curlier than it usually was.

"How was your trip? D'you manage to find the things you needed?" Mary says in a sing song voice. Tom nods.

"Great! Now, Thomas, you don't have anymore excuses to stay up late. Go change and sleep." Thomas sighs and walks over to the bathroom yo change. "Anyways, would you like to stay over? Hugo and Tom could share his old room and Alaya, dear, you could take the guest bedroom."

Tom whined. "Do I have to share with Hugo?" Mary gave him a glare. "Tommy, you have a bunk bed."

"But," Tom whined.

Mary gave him the same death glare. "Why dont you show Hugo your room?"
Tom nodded, seemingly scared of his mother. Thomas popped out of the bathroom. "Honey, you're scaring the guests."

"Thomas, I'll punch you." Thomas laughed. "You wont." He sat on his bed. "Dont be afraid of her, she's softer than she seems. Though, Tom, listen to your mother." Thomas says with a smirk.

Tom begrudgingly leads Hugo to his room.

(Alaya's pov) wow, for once!

I laughed at Tom and Hugo. The crew of ghosts that we braught (which we decided to name the souls) looked confused whether or not they should follow him. "No, you all could just stay with me." I said to the souls. They all nodded in response.

Ms. Mary looked confused. Mr. Thomas whispered something to her. "Ohh." She says. "Alaya, dear." I jumped a bit. "I'll show you the guest room. Follow me."

I said goodnight and thanked Mr. Thomas for the portal and followed Ms. Mary to a wooden door. The door wasn't old, it was, in fact, clean. Ms. Mary openned the door to a large bedroom, with a king sized bed in the middle, a desk tucked away in the corner and some decorative plants on the shelves.

I gaped in awe of the sight. Ms. Mary shut my mouth that was wide open. "Carefull, might caught a fly." She said in a slight laugh. Feel free to do anything here."

"I'm not really that tired. Alaya, would you mind if i stay here and talk to you for a bit?" She says. "No, not at all."

She entered the room and sat on the bed. She gestured me to sit next to her and so, i did.
