"Oh wow wow wow wow wowwwwww! A Bette Noir! Still traveling around in the land. I'm still shook..... You're creator must of been desperate like mine." A menacing smile rest on her lips as she stood in awe as another, weaker, arrogant, spell of destruction stood before her.

"Ah, an Etre Rouge..... Hmph. I thought one would be more out of control and have purge the land now."

Unlike most Etre Rouge, Aria had knowledge of other spells, bewitchments and knowledge. However when compared to a Bete Noire, a ER is a mindless beast.

"Nah, I'm in control of everything. But I must believe your caster must of been powerful one, soul of kindness I believe?"

"Not anymore. Now I only have a soul filled with animosity."

Bete Noire requires a soul of another and invert their very soul into it's opposite. They take the caster's memories, goals and thought processes, they retain almost about everything, even physical appearance (sometimes depending on the situation, it could be someone else's). Though it's very risky for a person, as it tests they're luck, while Etre Rouge would just kill the caster and use their remains and only retain their goal of destruction.Though Aria will admit that they are more painful than her when the true caster is alive.

Aria just laughs. It's sooooooo ironic! Poor little soul decided to get their vengeance regardless of who they are, or who they were at the least. "That must be adorable. You do look adorable with that purple and brown. Where's the companion?" Betty narrows their eyes on the other living destructive spell. This is a strange Etre Rouge. Very talkative. Very informed and calm, formal. Hm, interesting.

"When I was created, Etre Rouge would decimate an area or murder whoever that was desired, so why are you so informed? Why are you different? Why are you still here? Why are you so intelligent?"

Aria just laughs. "Well don't you seem fascinated! Yeah, I know, I'm not the regular, but let's just say I've became more humane after some life-changing experiences. But hey what do I know about living?"

"Hm, more than you should. But I guess this would make you more effective, depending on your goal."

"I mean, I would love to share it if you don't mind listening~" Aria cackles dangerously with her hands covering her mouth.

Should they waste time with this spell? Learn of it's motives, powers and if they dare say it, ulterior motives? Any information gain would be useful, especially if it could add in the destruction of their target or give them an advantage over their target.

Yes, they HATE wasting time, yet they HATE not having the advantage. Though of course, they could always tear down this spell if they need too. Eh, might as well. "I'm going to guess yes, since you've been standing their a while." Bete nods.

"Indeed I had."

"Well first I'll spare you the information you want. There's currently a magic amalgamation humans are trying to catch. It's like a slimy nasty slug. Magic seems to tame it. Enjoy sinking that bit of info in! Now then, my goals. Oh well- hard to say- hmm! Oh, I know, kill all that's left of the Fuun village."

Externally the thin line on her blank face did not waver, reflecting indifference and nonchalance.
Internally, Bete was shocked and amazed, they even dare say... scared. Maybe this one isn't as feeble as they thought. The Noir shakes it off and blows out air to avoid giving any satisfaction to the maliciously gleeful smile and sinister eyes the spell in front of her wore. "How are you going to do that when that village was taken down years ago?"

"Oh silly Bete! Didn't you hear me? Listen to me? I said I would kill all of that's left. Any living or surviving, even by a bare thread, will suffer my wrath and fall to dust in my hands while their blood gets mixed into a mud with dirt. Then I'll feel sweet release of vengeance and grace of satisfaction. Ha..hahahahaa!"

Her eyes glimmered with an unrecognizable yet frightening spark. As they both stood facing each other, their shadows grew as winds picked up, whisking their hair around. Now they could truly see what this spell, this Etre Rouge, is truly capable of.

Her words proved to be true as her hair wavering behind her began to shift like sand. Her once bouncy dark coral hair transition to spiky, black, red and white mess. Little voices screamed in agony behind her, getting gradually louder and louder. Some were grand voices that could be recognized through stories or books, others were unrecognizable and scrambled. Their moans and screams were trapped within the limits of her hair. Her eyes illuminated bloodshed, the gruesome stench of dead fumed from her. Blood appeared and seemed to stain her clothes unlike before. All with a smile wide as a mile to match with the rest of her body. "Hahahaaaa!"

She-no, they, covered up this fowl stench of blood, fire and rotting. Insanity and raw power radiated of the spell.  They completely underestimated the aura the one before them was expelling. The fact they decimated the Fuun village, the village full of powerful wizard, infamous mages and mystical forces, with prove of their screams is an entire feat itself. A Bete Noire would never be able to do that, not spell could do that; especially not an Etre Rouge... But this one was different, it didn't make sense. It continues to make no sense.

And the soul the Etre Rouge seemed to took from, was one of great power and maybe even greater hate, need for revenge, yet... it was a newer soul, like new as a child of some sort.

What she did right now was and is a prescient warning to Bete. One that could never be trifled with. The wielded swirled around her, get more morphed and imperceptible.

"Of course, though I do have a bucket list of forger things to do, things to see, things to... hinder. Hah hah... However I bet you don't have time or will ever do that, right? You'll just gather up information, wait, then strike everything down..... And dissipate, if given a chance." She leaned forward, smiling slyly, deeply espying into her eyes, as if they were reading their mind and memories.

Everything started to spin, to get hazy and confusing- How can a spell suffocate? That's im-impossible.... Wh-What's going on?!? Why are they panicking!!? Aren't they in control?!? No-No they're not. Not at all, it is...! It is...! They have to be right?!? RIGHT?!?!

Bete took shaky step back, gasping for air.
The environment shifted back to normal, the air stood stale. She breathed in and out until calm once more. Aria just watched contently, not smiling or gleaming or anything anymore; she just stood and watch Bete react to her being. Such a delight.

She, they, it, whatever they are, is abnormal. It's too keen. It's going above it's purpose, Bete needs to get away before it tries to kill them. Yes. That has to be their goal. Their point. Their reason for this meeting, to gain power. Of-Of course.... Nothing else.... Nothing... Else... Hopefully...

They stood stiff. Their revelation made existential dread flood through their nonexistent veins. They're not in control, not at all. Aria was. And she knew it, all along. If they were to engage in combat, Bete would be disintegrated, fail..... die.

Aria claps her hands cheerfully to get their attention and smiles satisfied. "Well, I must be on my way, and I bet you do too! Goodbye Betty! Hope we meet again! Ahuha!"

She waves and skips away like a child, leaving the other spell stuck in place. Thinking about their new life-changing, near-death & humane experience.
