I know exactly where I want to go with this book but there will have to be a lot of character development, which is something I'm not very good at, so bare with me!
Sam's POV
Huh, that guy- Peter, was it? - is kinda cute. Oh well. Looks like something I should completely ignore and keep under lock and key in the back of my mind :).
I was chilling in my room, minding my own business, when a PRICK I call my FATHER decides to shout at me. "Hey, Sam!" I groan into my pillow.
"NO!" Is all I shout back.
A few moments later I hear footsteps and my door opening to reveal Dad. "Up 'n' at 'em kiddo." I glare at him unimpressed.
"Really?"
"Well, you've got to wake up soon, it's 8 am! You're usually up at, like, 6!" I continue to glare at him.
"You are basically begging me to stab you with every object that can be used to stab someone with, reminder that I once sliced someone's neck with Pringle."
"Was it salt and vinegar?" He questions, as if people regularly get their necks sliced with Pringles. "Those hurt the most."
"Damn right it was."
"That's my girl!" He says in a proud manner. "But seriously, you need to get up." I groan once more.
"Seriously, I wasn't kidding about the stabbing thing," I reply in the same tone. He rushes out of the room as quickly as he can in an 'orderly' fashion, but realistically he was stumbling left, right and centre.
After getting changed and all that jazz, I make my way to the kitchen, where I'm met with Steve cooking pancakes. It's no secret that Steve and I aren't the best of pals. I think it's because he feels like I'm stealing Dad from him..? Quite frankly, I don't know and I don't care. As I walk past, I glare at him, which, although our rivalry, is unusual. Nat notices though.
"Ahhh, that time of the month is it?"
"Say another word and I'll whip you with a strawberry lace."
Steve piped up from behind me, "that's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard," he says with a snicker. I stare at him and walk towards the cupboard (I swear I live with children. Half the food in this building are purely sweets, that doesn't even count the savoury snacks) and pick out a pack of strawberry laces. I open it and eat one, before taking another one out and whipping Steve with it.
"FUCK!"
"Fuck!" An adorable cheery echo says.
"Jay, we both know that you know what that means. Stop trying to act all innocent," I say to my son, who just entered the room.
"What the hell was that for?!"
"First of all Captain, language. Second of all, that's for not believing that I can turn everyday items into weapons that can inflict pain." The team gathers around to see a cut, deep enough to need stitches, in Steve's arm. Clint bursts out laughing, whereas Banner actually takes initiative and takes him down to the med bay, but not without giving me a quick lecture on how 'irresponsible and childish' I am. Ha! Tell me something I don't know.
"My turn! My turn!" Jay chants like the adorable four year old he is.
"Maybe when Steve comes back you can try, yeah baby?" He cheers at my words. I look around to see Dad and Nat looking like proud parents, Sam looking at me like I'm insane (which I am) and everyone else either laughing or ignoring me.
"You are terrifying and awesome at the same time and it's amazing," Peter says, looking at me in awe.
"Thank you. That's probably the most praise I have ever received in my entire lifetime," I say, grabbing the now abandoned pancakes for Jay.
"Can I have 3000 pancakes?!" (I'm sorry I had to) I look at him, before realising he's using his strongest power on me. I quickly turn my head away.
"Jay! Jay you better stop that or you're not getting any!" I say, still looking away.
Nat looks at us curiously, "what's he doing?" I can hear Jay turn to Nat and use his powers.
"Pwease?" He asks in an adorable voice, using his deadly weapon.
"You can have all the pancakes you want," Nat says warmly whilst I roll my eyes. Jay jumps up and down and quickly sits at the island, shovelling pancakes in his mouth before anyone can protest. "Wait a minute, what just happened?!" Nat exclaims, looking at Jay in confusion and almost as if he's a threat.
"That's his strongest power by far. Puppy dog eyes," I say dramatically. I hear a theatrical gasp to my left and notice Peter has his hand on his chest and his mouth wide open.
"This boy could take over the world within an hour with those... how do we contain him?" Peter asks, playing along.
"To contain me, you'll have to catch me first!" Jay says, grabbing all the pancakes and zooming away with his super speed.
"Jay! Make sure you're not sick everywhere!" I call after him, not even attempting to follow.
"He's just like Pietro," Wanda says with a sad smile. Me, being the awkward person I am and not knowing what to do in these situations, offered her a strawberry lace. She chuckles and politely declines.
"Your family is crazy," Wilson (Falcon) says to Dad.
"I know. And I wouldn't have it any other way-
Except maybe minus the whole 'tortured-and-experimented-on' thing and the giving birth at twelve, oh and the-."
