Sam's POV

I still haven't told Peter that I killed those guys on patrol, but I can't bring myself to tell him. I tried too convince myself that he wouldn't mind, because it's HYDRA, but something stops me every time.

It's been a week and I still don't have the guts to tell Peter what happened. He's all healed now, and I'm fine as well although my ribs are still bad. I've decided that I need to stop being a pussy, so this leads us to now, where I am currently walking towards Peter's room to explain what happened that night. I haven't said anything to anyone because Peter should be the first to know.

I knock on the door and pick at the skin around my nails nervously. Gods, why am I like this? Oh, wait. He has the most heartbreaking disappointed face. Duh.

I'm so lost in my train of thought that I didn't even notice the door open. "Sam?" I jump and turn towards Peter, his unruly curls sticking all over the place in his pyjamas. Gods he's so adorable.

"Yeah?"

"Uhh... is there something wrong?" He asks awkwardly, rubbing the back of his neck.

"Right." I say, finally coming to my senses. "Uhm, can I come in?" He steps aside and allows me through. He closes the door and jumps on the bed, patting the spot next to him. I slowly walk towards him and gently sit down, not laying like him. He looks at me with those gorgeous confused puppy eyes and my heart melts.

"What's the matter?" I start picking at the skin again and suddenly find the wall very interesting. He grabs my hands and looks me in the eye. "Whatever's wrong, you can tell me."

"I- I..." he encourages me to continue and I decide just to get it over with. "I killed someone- on the patrol," I whispered out. I look down quickly, avoiding eye contact.

At first, he didn't say anything. I could hear the silent judgment, his disappointment. And if a tear slipped out, that was no one's business. I feel a hand on my chin and my face is angled towards Peter's. Then he kisses me with those plump, soft lips. "It's okay," he says reassuringly, his forehead against mine. "You had reason to. Even though I would've preferred if you hadn't killed them, it's okay." I bury my face into his chest, not wanting to hear anymore.

We cuddle for a couple hours, neither of us saying anything. Just enjoying the company. And that was when Tony comes knocking on the door. "Eyepatch called again." I roll my eyes and groan. "Ooooh, Petey's getting some!" I giggle as Peter runs out of the room and tackles Tony. I step over them and head towards the rest of the team, waiting for the other two to catch up.

I notice a hologram in the middle of the conference room of none other than the pirate himself. "Agents, we have found a new location for the HYDRA base."

"Technically, not all of us are agents." Fury glares at Wilson. "What? I mean, Nat and Clint are, but the rest of us technically aren't SHIELD agents." Fury sighs and punches the bridge of his nose.

"Just- suit up."

—————Time skip—————

We left Jay at home this time (I refused to let him come. If the other two bases were dummies, who's to say this one won't be?) and I was checked over by Bruce to make sure that I was okay to fight. Which I am. Of course.

We arrive at the base, this time in Russia. The first thing I notice were the very faint footprints through the thick snow on the mountain. "Someone has been here recently," I point out.

"Okay everybody, you know the drill," Cap says, bored already.

"What drill?"

"The one we went over at the tower, idiot," Clint whines ever so slightly as Nat flicks him in the temple (huh. They're a lot more like siblings than I though).

Dad and I prepare to go in the base itself. "Why do I always have to go in the base?" I groan, still sore from my (almost) healed injuries.

"Because you're our best fighter and we need you inside where you ca n take down more agents," Nat answers. I groan in response and she chuckles.

Dad passes me a gun and I look at him for a signal. He nods at me and I nod back. We quickly turn out from behind the walls where we just were. Immediately, there are guards everywhere. I start shooting them, while Dad engages in hand-to-hand. I keep shooting until I'm out of ammo, which is surprising quick. I toss the gun aside and pull out knives, starting to stab the agents.

"Ее ребра!" An agent shouts. "Они повреждены!" I'm immediately on high alert, careful for any movements. (Her ribs!) (They're damaged!)

I may have panicked a tiny bit, now knowing that they know my weaknesses and how advanced they're technology is. More agents crowd me and my head isn't in the right mindset, and I'm unable to use my powers. I try to fight my way through the agents when I feel a small prick in my neck. The last thing I heard was Dad shouting my name before everything went black.

Sorry if the translations are incorrect, I used Google translated. Also I just wanted to mention that I want to finish this book before I get back to my other one. I swear I haven't completely abandoned it!
