Sorry if some things are wrong. I have to type it straight into my works.
A few minutes later I was running through the woods with a silver grey wolf by my side. I could feel the cool ground beneath my paws and the air rushing through my fur.
The pain of the change had been lest pain full this time as my last transformation had been less then twelve hours ago.
Running with another member of my family always calmed my nerves, and at that moment in time that was exactly what I needed. My thought were a mess what with the whole being dragged into someone else’s head, my parent’s “private” talk and everything else that had happened today. And now to top it off that tugging feeling discided this was a great time to repear. I had no idea what to do.
Samantha picked up on my iritation and asked what was wrong, but how could i expain all that to her if i couldn't yet explain it to myself. So we feel into silence and continued our run.
We had run into a clearing about a mile or so from the house when Samantha suddenly stopped, a small whimper escaping her. Slowing my pace i turned and troted back to her, only to she her shrink away from me as she shivered violently. Opening my mind to her i called her name. When i got no reply i started to worry. "Samantha, what is it?" I knew that if she didn't answer i would have to call someone as i wouldn't know what to do.
I waited and waited for her reply but all so would do was huddle close to the ground and whinper. I didn't think i just acted. Throwing my head back I howled. Almost instantly i heard a reply.
Less then a minute later i heard the sound of running feet (or more acuratly, paws) heading in our direction. I gave a small bark which i knew would bring them to our destination.
In seconds we were surrounded by five of my farthers most trusted fighters. Des was amongst them and the first to speak.
"Princess, we heard your call and came as fast as we could. What's wrong?"
"It's Samantha." i told them as i walked to her side. "I don't know to do, she's been like this for ages," There eyes followed me as i nugged Samanatha's side. When she didn't respond there were several gaspes. Almost instantly Des staterd giving orders and two of the five turned and ran from the clearing back toward the house, as Des had told them to fetch my mother. Then he turned to me.
"What happened?"
"I don't know. We were running, then she just...stopped. She's been like this ever since. I don't know what to do."
Walking up to me, Des brushed against my side lending me some of his strength as we waited fro my mother. As my panic increased Des looked across at me and spoke gently "Everything will be alright Mina, your mother is on her way. She will know what to do."
"I really hope you're right Des." Just as the words formed in my head my mother burst into the clearing and straight over to me. Seeing the extent of my mothers anger in the look she gave me caused me to whimper as i dropped to her feet baring my throat in a sign of my lower ranking.
when nothing happened I slowly raised my eyes. The anger in the eyes had died somewhat but what had replaced that anger was much worse. As i looked at her all i saw was dissapointment. At that i dropped my eyes back to the ground.
"Mina," at the mention of name i had to glance up "What have you done? Why Did you bring her here?" My face must have shown my confusion as she sighed. "Samantha. Why did you bring Samantha here?"
"we were just running and...." My mother cut my off with a shake of the head.
"that's not What i meant Mina. This is the place where we found her. In the exact same place as she is now." turning her back on me, my mother walked away. As she moved towards my sister a quiet whimper escaped me as I whispered to no-one in particular
"I had no idea," Turning towards the trees that led away from the house "I'm so sorry."
The last thing i saw before i scrambld to my feet and bolted into the trees was my mother leading Samantha slowly out of the clearing in the opposite direction to me.
I'd run off out of instinct. Tried to get away from the pain i know i'd caused.
I ran and ran, didn't stop until my stride fultered and i crumpled to the ground bringing my paws up to cover my eyes, if i could cry in this form i would. I heard howls in the distance, they were so far away i just ignored them; i just wanted to be on my own. I heard the howls again and again. Then i heard my fathers amongst them but i just couldn't face them at the moment, i couldn't do it.
I had no idea where i was though, only that i had run a lot further then i ever had before. I was outside of what i knew but i couldn't bring myself to care. All i could think of was the pain i had seen in Sams eyes and the anger in my mothers. And knowing i was the cause of all that pain was worse then anything. How could i have known that one little mistake would have caused all that, one stupid mistake that i can couldn't change or make right.
I lay were i fell for a long time as when i finally removed my paws from my face the sky was dark and the moon hung in the sky, as watchful as ever.
Glancing around i was suprised at how sparce the tree were and i was pretty sure i could see lights inthe distance. They kept flashing randomly and and seemed to be moving.
Lifting my head from the leaf strown ground i scented the air, then really wished i hadn't. The first thing i smelt was exhaust fumes. It was heavy in the air concealing the natural scents of the earth and the trees that surrounded me.
Exhaust fumes...Flashing lights! My ears swiveled towards the bursts of lights and i heard the grumble and snarls of of engines. It was at that moment i relised just how far i had run. There were no roads around or near my house, there were no roads in pack territory at all.
CRAP!
