Sorry I know this is a little late, and I know it's short but I hope you enjoy it.

oh shit I thought, then felt rather then saw Alex tense. I saw the small red body at my feet begin to shake and a small sound escaped it...me. The strange thing was, although I could feel what was going on in this body I was fully aware of what was happening to my own. Well this time I could anyway. I also now almost fully knew what was going on. But how could this be possible.

Apprently, this person (human) who was now staring down at me, happened to be my Mate. But that should have been impossible. We only mated with our own kind, or so i'd been told. But it was pretty obvious that was the only answer, seeing as I was pretty much sitting in his head.

The wolf on the ground looked up at me and stopped its whmpering, cocked its head to one side and looked generally puzzled. Never knew I could look like that in this form.

"Huh, so it is true we learn something new everyday."

"What tbe hells going on?!" I recognised Alex's voice and he sound utterly freaked.

"Okay," I thought "Would it help if you knew you weren't imagining this voice that just happened to start speaking to you?"

I could feel his confusion and wasn't suprised when he didn't answer. He looked around and saw his two friends a short distance away, eyes fixed on my body which still lay at his feet unable to move away.

I growled and the sound rattled from my wolf. Ben squeaked and ran down the street... what a coward. What did he think I was going to do? I couldn't move for god sake. Matt fliched a little but didn't otherwise move. Alex on the other hand crouched and slowly extended his hand towards me.

"Alex! What are you doing?!" Matt shouted from where he stood.

Alex ignored him.

What' s he doing? Oh shit! I kept this thought sheltered.

I then felt a light preasure on my head and relised Alex was stroking me. It was weird but not intially unpreasent, and one by one my muscles slowly relaxed.

"Alex don't!" Matt shouted again, taking a step towards us. With out a consiouse thought I bared my teeth and growed at him. He stopped dead in his tracks.

"It's not going to hurt me, Matt"

"How can you tell for sure?" Matt now loooked extremly pale and I felt bad for being the cause of his discomfort, well kind of.

Alex glance up at him before speaking. "I don't really know, just I can tell she won't hurt me."

Matt raised an eyebrow, stared down at Alex, then shook his head.

"You're mental. Completely off your rocker. It's a wild animal which just growled at me!" My eyes narrowed and I turned my head in his direction before growling once again.

"You can't talk about me like that you...you...!" Alex's hand froze on my head and he looked sharply down at me with wide eyes. Crap forgot to shelter that though. Damn.

"See?"

Alex paid him no attention and continued to stare down at me. "It was you..." he looked completely dumbfounded.

What could I say. Yep you're talking a wolf. That would just be stupid and he would probably think he was going crazy.

"Great... now you're talking to yourself." Matt muttered.

I met his eyes with differculty before slowly nodding my head once. His eyes got wider still.

Matt didn't seem to notice and continue to mutter to himself.

"Yep it's me." Alex just blinked a few times before recovering.

"How is this possible?" Wish I had answer to that.

It was then I heard the sound of distant howls. They sounded almost desperate no doubt out looking for me.

Both Matt and Alex looked at the woods from where the howls were coming from. They were getting closer for sure.

Just as I was about to tell Alex to go a charcoal colored muzzle poked through the hedges, where I'd been not that long ago. Then a large coal colored wolf with a silver ruff stepped out closely followed by a smaller golden she-wolf with worried blue eyes.

Mother and Father. Great.
