I know this has taken me a long time to upload but have been having problems with my computer.

Well I hope you enjoy it.

I had no idea where I was, other then outside pack teritory.

Rising slowly to my feet, I shifted my weight then winced. Glancing down I saw a smear of crimson against my fur and on further inspection I saw a tear in the skin just above my left fore paw. I could also see as well as feel the blood running from the pad. It stung yet I was glad to feel this physical pain; anything was bet then what I was feeling inside.

Raising my paw from the ground I was about to clean the gash above my ankle when I heard something. I say something as whatever I had heard was still a long way off.

Then I did some thing stupid.

Ignoring the throbbing pain of my damaged paw I took a small step forward. Then another and another. I soon found myself at the edge of the tree line staring out into a street lined with small brick houses with gardens filled with flowers and trees. Many of the houses also had drive ways. Lights shone through closed curains which made the street look like a patchwork of colour and well... light.

I could also hear people talking, but it wasn't coming from the houses opposite me. The voices were getting louder and then the sound of footstep accompanied them. They were coming my way! I could hear two voices but three sets of footsteps. Glancing to my right I saw a trio of boys walking together, all seemed about my age, the two which were talking walked a little in front of the other person in the group, who kept his head down and stared at the pavement.

The smallest of the boys talking glanced over his shoulder, gave a small simpathetic smile then looked at the guy beside him.

"Wonder what happened to him? He hasn't said a word since lunch."

"No idea. I haven't seen him since lunch."

Glancing behind the two guys talking, I saw the thrid guy lift his head slightly and caught sight of black against pale skin and a slight swelling across one cheek. He gave a humourless smile and even from here I could tell he regeted it by the intake of breath which also seemed to hurt him.

"Alex, you okay?" The taller boy had stopped walking and turned to face his friend trailing behind.

Lifting one arm, Alex crossed it across his chest and slowly nodded. His face got paler and he swayed slightly.

"Ben! Grab him he going!" The small guy shouted just as Alex staggered back. Lunging forward Ben caught Alex's arm just before he staggered again.

"Sit down, before you fall down," Ben said, concern evident in his voice.

Sinking to he ground by one of the trees, Alex gritted his teeth and shut his eyes, leaning his head back against the rough bark.

Curiosity drew me towards the group, although my insticts where telling me to turn tail and run back the way i'd come. But me being me ignored everything resembeling good sense and took a step forward ... onto my left fore paw.

Giving a yelp I fell onto the pavement about ten feet infront of the three boys. Three heads whiped towards me as I tried to rise to my feet.

"What the hell is that?" Ben asked as he looked at me with wide eyes and stumbled back a step.

I started at his voice. It was so close. I tried to back away but now I could put next to no preasure on my foot, and gave a whimper of fear and pain. What was I going to do?

"That, I do believe, is a wolf." I recognised the voice even though I hadn't heard it in this conversation, and my eyes instantly went to Alex who was struggling to his feet, using the tree for support. He was looking at me with eyes the colour of gold, which seemed to reflect what little light there was.

"What are you doing?" I looked up to see Ben start to back away but the short guy had asked. I hate to admit but he sounded scared.

"Can't you see it's hurt?" Now standing with out the tree's help Alex looked at his friend "We can't just leave it here, look at it. It can't even walk."

He took a step towards me.

Blind panic seaced me then and I started to shake.

My mind was racing but could focus on nothing. All I could think was "oh god! What do I do?"

Alex stopped and glanced around.

"Hey what is it?!" Shorty asked

"Shut it Matt." Glancing around again he asked "Did you guys hear something just then?"

Both Ben and Matt looked at each other with a he's finally lost it look. Then in unison they shook their heads.

My eyes widened as a thought entred my head

"He can hear me!"

Turning in a complete circle Alex scaned the surrounding area before looking back at his friends again.

"Surely you heard it that time."

Again both boys shook their heads still giving him strange looks.

"Alex come on. Do you ecpect us to believe you're hearing voices?" Ben (who still looked like he would bolt if I so much as twiched) looked at him with eyebrows raised.

"So you don't believe me." I heard the hurt in his voice as his gaze slowly returned to the ground. "Fine."

He turned his back to Ben and Matt as his shoulders sagged.

Then I felt it. A wave of sadness crashed over me like a physical thing and I whimpered.

Ben started and backed away again. Matt followed.

I lifted my head and followed their retreat with my eyes then... I was staring down at the ground at my trainer clad feet. Huh, at least it didn't hurt this time.

Then I was turning and... oh my god! Was looking down at... myself.
