[your name] continued to slowly page through her manga, beautiful [your eye color] orbs flickering from one picture to another, reading the speech bubbles placed here and there.

she tapped the blue arrow icon and let jeongguk's angelic voice take over, humming along with the sweet song, 'paradise', sometimes even singing along with the lyrics. "...geu kkeuten kkume nakwoni... meomchwoseodo gwaenchana...neo mokjeokjido eopseo...sumi teokkkaji neomchil ttae..."

today was the perfect day for the girl to read all the manga she had bought but never had the time to read them, all the anime she downloaded but could never watch because of all the craziness her and her classmates had been through during the year. for once, in a long time, it was quiet, no rampaging sludge monsters, no villains attacking the usj or the training camp, no having to worry about sports festivals or license exams, just peace and beautiful silence.

that is, until someone knocked on her door. oh why must the universe be this cruel? [your name] sighed and popped out her ear bud, getting up from her comfy and cozy bed and onto the cold floor. she opened the door and stared at her boyfriend, shoto.

her boyfriend was sweet and kind and thoughtful and warm and not to mention welcoming. and she was happy with him. the girl smiled and wrapped her arms around him, snuggling into his warm chest. "hi todo." okay, maybe the universe wasn't as cruel as she gave it credit for.

something strange happened, usually shoto would wrap his arms around his girlfriend and peck her lips but he didn't today. [your name] pulled away and looked up at him, very confused and feeling worry seep in.

"todo? what's wrong?" she took in shoto's dull eyes, his monotone expression, and the small bruise on his neck. but dismissed them all because her mind would not except the signs he was giving her.

"[your name]," the way he said her name, it was once full of love and adoration, now it was plain and cold, like she was just another person, like she didn't matter, "this hurts me but... i'm breaking up with you. i hope we can still be friends."

the classic break up with someone but add the hope of being friends, some say it lessens the burn but it just adds more pain to the wound. in that particular moment, she thought he was joking, smiling widely at but seeing how he didn't find it funny at all, her smile dropped to the floor, being replaced with a look of pain and despair.

"w - why? did i do something wrong?" [your name] asked, her voice cracking, a lump in her throat as tears welled in her eyes. "please todo... i can c - change for you."

changing for someone who doesn't want you, changing your flaws so someone can love you, if they don't want you for you, they don't deserve you, that's what someone thought as they watches the whole ordeal unfold.

shoto shook his head, dead serious about wanting to leave the girl. "i'm sorry [your name] but i've made up my mind, i don't love you anymore. please excuse me, i have somewhere to be." his harsh words struck her right in her heart. as shoto walked away, [your name] would have ran after him but something kept her in the same spot, something pulled her down.

[your name] hit the wall and slid down, staring at her [your favorite color] walls with a blank look. she couldn't process what had just happened. her mind wouldn't except it! she was too fragile to except the fact that she was going to be alone.

a single tear fell down her pale cheek. more soon followed but she continued to stare blankly, like she had gone completely numb. until she cracks...

"i don't love you anymore..." she softly repeated his words and that was her breaking point. a choked cry left her lips as she fell to her knees, clenching her shirt where her heart was beating but was utterly shattered.

[your name] was sobbing like a small child that had just scraped his knee but this wasn't physical pain. the emotional pain she felt really did break her. the girl took back what she had said earlier, the universe was out to get her, laugh at all her misfortunes and make her life a living hell.

now that someone that had been watching, he closed his door and left [your name] alone, not wanting to disturb her while she cried her eyes out. but he heard her sobs and cries, though they were muffled from the door they still stung his heart.

who would have thought a peaceful sunday afternoon would have turned into something so painful?
