"[your name]! you can do it! trust me!"

i shook my head and whimpered, gripping tightly onto the rope katsuki had thrown at me.

we were playing in the forest right behind our houses like we usually did. katsuki was leading our troops - our imaginary troops mind you - and found a little river that had a bridge across it but it was destroyed thanks to a storm.

as a way to get to our tree house, katsuki tied a rope to a branch and said we should swing across. he was the first one to try and made it.

"i-i'm scared katsu-kun!" i yelled back, staring down at the river below me, it looked deep and scary, not to mention the sharp dead branches flooting along, just waiting for someone to stab.

"[your name], just look at me! don't look down!" i did as instructed and looked at katsuki, he was smiling brightly at me, his smile made my heart flutter, "i promise i'll catch you if you fall!"

i still didn't budge, feeling tears trickle down my cheeks. katsuki was definitely going to laugh at me for being such a scaredy cat. he called my name again and i stared at him with tears welling in my eyes again.

"do you trust me?"

it was a simple question and i nodded my head, we've known each other since we were in diapers and he's always kept his promises, "i-i trust you, katsu-kun!"

"then trust that i'll catch you!"

i took a shaky breath and wiped my tears, moving backwards so i could get over without fail. staring at katsuki, his arms open for him to catch me. he'll catch me, i know it.

with that, i ran and ran as fast as i could, closing my eyes tightly as the ground no longer touched my feet. warm hands wrapped around me and held me close.

i opened my eyes and instantly hugged him back, feeling tears well in my eyes once again. "k-katsu-kun... i did it." he nodded and held me tighter, "you did it, [your name]. i knew you could."

we pulled away slightly from the hug and just stared at each other. katsuki's cheeks turned pink as he smiled, placing his lips on mine. my cheeks turned pink as well, my heart thumping in my chest.

katsuki broke the kiss and pecked my cheek, "すきかも*." i smiled and pecked his cheek too, wrapping my arms around him tighter.

"me too katsu-kun, me too."
