In a prosperous town where everything was lively and in harmony, the sound of bells could be heard as everyone in the town is cheering and excited. Various flowers in sizes, colors, and species are hanging outside their house along with a white fabric on it.

The streets are clean thoroughly with children and even teens running around cheerfully, clearly happy about the occasion that's happening. Everyone in the town wore their best clothes and adorned themselves in jewels that they have.

Even the sun is glowing brightly with white clouds and different kinds of birds flying occasionally.

But in a neat and peach-colored room, in a big and elegant-looking mansion which is painted in white and in royal blue, a woman wearing a white gown stood in front of a full-length mirror, holding a bouquet of white roses.

Her golden-like hair is tied into an elegant style of a bun with a few locks of hair dangling by her forehead and ears that were designed by her hairstylist. Her hair is adorned with small pink pearls that shone beautifully whenever it hits the sun's rays.

A real tiara adorned in blue rubies with a white see-through veil is also placed on her head.

She was wearing a pair of blue earring rubies and a necklace that perfectly match with her tiara.

Everything about her scream elegance and happiness. But her pair of beautiful baby blue eyes are lifeless and dull.

She was the complete opposite of the town people's happiness and her grand and elegant clothing and adornments.

They are lively but she's not.

They are happy but she's not.

They are excited but she's not.

They are thankful... but she's not.

Everything that's happening to her... she's not happy about it. She once had everything that she has ever dreamed of.

A complete family, wealth, status, power, and fame. She was once on top, envied and hated by many. She was beautiful, many young scholars and even married men came to their doorstep to seek her hand in marriage. She was even sought out by a King that came from a small but wealthy kingdom. She was ecstatic, but before she could say yes, everything went downhill. Everything disappeared in just a snap of a finger. Everything crumbled down the moment she met the man, her soon-to-be husband in just a minute.

Her grip on the bouquet tightened and her soft and pink lips are formed into thin lines but her eyes remained the same.

Her eyes cast down as she stopped her tears that are threatening to fall at any moment. A knock suddenly came outside that made her froze.

"Young Miss, the carriage is ready. We'll set out soon."

Her body started shaking as her eyes dilated in complete fear. The time has come that will completely change her life forever. Not in a positive way but the other way around.

She could still clearly recall and hear what the man said to her the very first moment they've met.

"Being greedy is not a very nice thing. It can either cause your downfall... or your death."

"Young Miss?"

"O-okay..."

She answered in a shaky voice. She can barely stop herself from crying. This is it.

A carriage stops in front of a small white church, with its pavement towards the entrance of the church, are sprinkled in petals of white roses. And the outside of the church is decorated in white fabric and white roses.

Even the town people are outside the church with her, all excited to see the soon-to-be wife of their mighty and just ruler. They are even singing along to the wedding songs, making the atmosphere so lively and emotionally.

But the bride inside the carriage did not feel the same thing at all. She was afraid, very scared to be real, because the mighty and just ruler that the town's people admired and look up to, is not the same as they see.

Their 25 years old ruler is a cold-blooded man inside but a very honest and kind ruler on the outside. He likes to torture prisoners and would do horrible and unimaginable things to them. It was a tiger in the clothing of a sheep. And she was the only one left of the people that knew of this twisted facts.

Her family and her man... also knew this very fact through her, accidentally. And with just a single mistake. Everything she had vanished into nothing. Their house along with her family and her man are burned down into ashes by the very same man that she's going to be wedded to.

Although she was so against it, she could not do anything but just suffer silently, because if she does something that can make the town people's judgment change, her life would be a living hell.

She gritted her teeth and let the tears that she was holding back for 3 years suddenly streamed down from her eyes.

Everything's over, once she stepped out from this very carriage. Her life would be more difficult and full of hardships than she had experienced three years ago.

But she has no other choice, to live or to be killed.

She took a deep breath and stabilized her emotions. She gently wiped away the tears on her face and step out from the carriage with a gentle smile on her face and her pair of baby blue eyes shining so beautifully when someone opened the door.

Her last foot gently touched the pavement and when she lifted her head. She saw the most beautiful yet deadly pair of red eyes in her entire life. The eyes that she loved and at the same time, hate.
