A YOUNG boy with a very thin and malnourished body kept running towards the dark and dangerous forest. His pair of small and thin hands are tucked inside his tattered and dirty clothes, clearly hiding something.
And on his hands is a loaf of bread.
"Get him! Hurry!"
His breathing hitched on his throat and run faster as he could. Even though he's already breathing heavily, he still kept on running and running away from his pursuers.
"Hey! Get back here!"
The young boy looked back and his eyes widened when he saw a guard running towards him in a very fast pace. The young boy got prettily scared. His gripped on the bread tightened even more.
He gritted his teeth as he thinks for a better idea without them catching him.
Young Boy: Maybe I should just throw this away... but they'll still catch me even if I did.
As he was busy thinking for a better idea, he didn't notice that the owner of the shop where he stole the bread is approaching him on his left side with a very angry and scary face.
"Opft!"
The man tackled him to the ground. The young boy panicked and starting kicking and punching the owner of the bread shop.
But the owner of the bread shop is a big and fatty man while he on the other hand have malnourished and thin body that whenever everyone sees him, they would thought that he would be swept away by the wind.
"You dare steal in my shop! You little bastard!"
The owner of the bread shop screamed as his jaws tightened and his eyes revealed anger and irritation.
The owner of the bread shop's hand pressed the young boy's head into the ground and the other one is tightly gripping both of the young boys' thin wrists behind the young boys' waist.
Completely preventing him from escaping.
"Ah!" the young boy screamed, "Let go of me!"
"Shut up!"
The owner of the bread shop shouted back and pressed him on the ground even more. Making the young boy grit his teeth in extreme pain. Because of the rocks and pebbles digging into his skin.
"Let go!"
His hoarse voice echoed inside the forests.
The guards caught up and quickly seize the young boy.
INSIDE a smelly and murky cell, the young boy crouched down and hugged his knees closely to his chest as he pressed himself into the wall; farthest from the cell door.
His thin body shook not only of hunger but also because of pain and fear.
Clearly it's his first time being captured and thrown into a smelly and murky cell by a scary and rough guards.
The young boy gritted his teeth in anger. If the King would have only signed the peace treaty then everything wouldn't be like this.
He wouldn't be dying in hunger, stealing foods to survive, and leaving his village that were attacked by the other kingdom. Just because the King of this kingdom didn't sign the peace treaty. And his family would still be alive.
The young boy rested his forehead on his knees and let the tears rolled down one by one.
An image of his smiling Father, Mother and big brother flashed inside his head.
He knew he was a very bad child. Always making problems for his parents, always lazying around and would not help in planting and watering the plants and other chores.
