Childhood Writings: Piano Songs

40 1 3

Some of my first pieces of voluntary, legible creative writing from preschool and kindergarten, written in a purple journal with Winnie-the-Pooh on the cover. Make of them what you will. I can't write melodies, so you'll have to imagine the sounds.

Hot Dogs

Hot dogs, hot dogs
Eat them all the way
Extra special ribbons
From ribbon parties
Hot dogs, hot dogs
Eat them all the way!

To The Letter P We Go

To the letter P we go, P we go, P we go
To the letter P we go
What a fun fun day!
I will see the letter P, so will you
Here we come P,
here we come to see you
To the letter P we go, P we go, P we go
To the letter P we go
What a fun fun day!
Good as new
Good as new

Our Dog Named "B"

(B being a nickname for our dog)

Our dog named B
Can fetch a frisbee
Our dog named B
Is B.b.b
Our dog named B
We love our dog!

The New Dog

We got a new dog,
We liked it so much
We liked it all the time!

Pooh Bear

The Pooh
What word is missing?
It's the one that comes before
Winnie the Pooh is the answer

Nest (looks more like Mest; I don't know; I can't make out this title. I will call it: NEST: Newly English Speaking Trouble.)

I did have an epiphany on this one. There was a song on an old Disney Sing-A-Long songs tape where Mickey and friends went camping that had a similar lyric pattern and similar words, to a point. Having heard the song recently, it hit me like a ton of bricks where I might have gotten the idea.

Show your horse
Here we go
Sure is rounding you you know
Join the show
Jack and Joe
forgot the grates
soon now!

Music of the CS (yeah, I don't know what it stands for)

Oh the music of the CS.
It sounds pretty
Oh the music of the CS
It sounds very very pretty
I like it
We like it
We like it
I like it
Oh, the music of the CS
It sounds very very pretty
Oh the day!

The stories get better from here, I promise.
