Prologue

I can't believe I actually got a ticket. This is the most exclusive convention this side of the Pacific. Fairy Tail Con had only been going on for a few years now, and had a fierce reputation for only letting a certain number of people attend. Every year the location theme was different: last year it had been Crocus; this year it was Magnolia City. And I got lucky enough that the theme is Magnolia. I wonder if they'll do a Fairy War Event? "All guests with gold badges, please claim your rooms in Fairy Hills. All guests with silver badges, please claim your rooms in Magnolia Inn. All guests with bronze badges, please claim your rooms in the hotel." I followed the line of people heading towards Fairy Hills, ignoring the rest of the announcements. When it was finally my turn to claim my room, I was so excited I nearly choked on my words.

"Hi," I flashed my gold badge at the attendant, "I'm Angel Rose. I requested Mirajane's room."

"Yes, ma'am. It's all set up for you. Here's your room key and the convention itinerary. Thank you for your patronage." I took the offered items with a smile and continued into the famed Fairy Tail dorms to find my room. I really should watch the show again. I haven't since I binge-watched it for my last fanfiction. That's what I'll do when I get home. Watch and droll over that yummy Laxus Dreyar. Unlocking the door to my room, I was in awe of the set up. It's just like I thought it would be. What I wouldn't give to see this place for real. I set down my luggage carefully and climbed into bed, exhausted from the flights and busses I'd taken the past few days. A real bed. If only I really was in Fairy Hills. I bet I'd have awesome magic and be able to fight with Natsu and read with Levy and Lucy. And maybe even see Laxus' magic up close.
