"Seriously, where are you taking me?" I demanded, adjusting my flannel on my shoulders.

"Would you just relax and enjoy the walk?" Laxus shot back, giving my hand a squeeze. Pouting, I took the time to look him over again. Laxus had dressed almost completely out of what he normally wore. A black silk button down covered his large upper half, giving a peek of a white muscle shirt from where the top few buttons were undone. His lower half was covered in jeans that fit just right, showing off his muscular legs and firm ass. "Stop staring at my ass , short stack."

"I bet I could bounce a coin off that ass." I replied, more than pleased with myself when he choked on his breath.

"Don't tempt me right now, Angel." Laxus' voice was gravelly in his attempt to keep control of himself.

"And why not? It seems to be what I'm best at, according to you. Besides, if you won't tell me where we're going, I might as well find something to do to amuse myself." I teased.

"Oh, yeah?" I felt my feet leave the ground and firm muscle make contact with my middle. When my eyes cleared from the sudden movement, I saw the ground moving under me while Laxus carried me over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes.

"Put me down." I demanded.

"Nope. We're almost there, Besides, this amuses me." I kicked my foot forward and connected with his thigh.

"Hey, no kicking. I can't be a walking bag a bruises when we go on our job. Just relax. We'll be there in a minute."

"I am not a patient woman, Laxus."

"And I'm not a patient man. You'll get over it."

"Okay, really, who cooked this? It's amazing." We were only half an hour into our picnic date in South Gate Park. Laxus insisted that he had made the food, and I was extremely skeptical.

"I'm telling you, I made it. You don't think I always eat at the guild or a restaurant, do you? That's a waste of the money I make on my jobs. I'm glad you like it. I wasn't sure what exactly you'd want to eat so I made a lot." Laxus' cheeks tinted the faintest hint of pink as he sat in front of me. I kneeled in front of him and grabbed his shoulders to gain his undivided attention.

"Laxus, you don't need to be nervous. One, I've been into you since before we actually met. Two, I had already agreed to a date. Three, you obviously know how good of a cook you are because you cooked for my temperamental ass instead of getting Mira to whip something up or getting something from a deli. It is definitely way too soon to be telling you this, but I fucken' love you, Laxus Dreyar. And no," I put one hand over his mouth to keep him from talking, "don't you dare say it back. I've known you a hellova lot longer than you've known me. I'm not expecting anything from you. I just wanted you to know." I stared into his beautiful orange eyes intently, making sure he saw the truth in my eyes. Laxus lifted one hand up to cup my cheek and I removed mine from his mouth.

"I'm not sure what I feel is love, but, what you said before, I want all of you, for as long as you'll let me have all of you."

"This is getting to be cutesy. Tell you what, you catch me, and I'll make you something for breakfast before we head out tomorrow. It's only fair since you cooked for this."

"Alright. But it better be good."

"Oh, shut up." I kissed him, hard; his arms wrapped around my back to pull me closer and bring me higher up to his level. I dug my fingers into his hair at the back of his head and pulled at it until we separated.

"I have to eat more of this food you made. It is delicious."

"Fucking tease." Laxus muttered as I sat back and picked up my plate again.
