"How did I get roped into helping you train some chick?!" Gajeel complained as he, Laxus, and I trekked out to where the guild hall that was used during the Tenrou years was.

"Because Gramps is a pervert who bent to her will." Laxus answered.

"Don't blame Makarov. It's always been this way for me. And besides, when people all across Fiore start gossiping about me, you two will be puffed up with pride because you're the ones who trained me. You can't deny it, either. You both have alpha male personalities, which is why you don't get along. So, while you  both are helping me train, I'm going to help you work together without killing each other."

"I already want to kill him." They said almost completely in unison.

"No, you don't. Look, Gajeel will train me on dragon traits in the mornings, and Laxus will train me on controlling my magic in the afternoons. During meal times and rest times, I'll help you."

"And how are you going to keep us from killing each other?"

"Laxus," I stopped walking and faced him head on, "I was what my world called a geek. I was obsessed with Fairy Tail and especially Dragon Slayers. I also spent years doing go between work for my company and an organization that protected large, predatory lizards. It's not exactly the same, but I know the basics of what I'm doing. When alpha males fight against each other, the system suffers; when they work together for a common goal, the system flourishes. You and Gajeel have common goals: protect Fairy Tail and train me. I plan to help you realize those goals - where one of you has a small weakness, the other has a strength. You don't understand Dragon senses, but you have Lightning Dragon Slayer magic. Gajeel doesn't have lightning, but he understands Dragon senses. And, Gajeel was older than Natsu when the Dragons left, so Metallicana would have been able to teach him more about Dragon instincts. Right, Gajeel?"

"What are you yammering on about?"

"Gajeel, do you or do you not understand your Draconic instincts better than Natsu?"

"Of course I do. Flame Brain doesn't know jack about what it means to be an adult Dragon Slayer."

"And my points have been made. So, can we please get to the old guild hall and get started? Or at least get settled? I'm so excited I can actually feel the electricity under my skin humming through me." I urged.

"Yeah, we should get moving. You'll need to start on controlling your magic as soon as possible. We're not far now. Maybe a mile left." Laxus agreed, continuing on. With a self-satisfied smirk, I followed behind the two 'macho' Dragon Slayers.

"There. We'll camp out here while you train."

"Why would we camp out here when there's a perfectly good building we can use for shelter?" Gajeel contradicted Laxus.

"Because that building might end up falling on our heads while we sleep. I don't know about you, Ironhead, but my skull can't take that kind of damage. Do you think hers can?"

"She's not from here. Maybe she can't camp out like we can. What if there's a storm and she gets sick? You really want to tell your gramps we couldn't take care of one woman?"

"Maybe you can't, but I can." Laxus shot back with a cocky smirk.

"Why you-"

"Enough!" I shouted, gaining their attention.

"Gajeel, how dare you assume I can't handle a little bit of camping? And Laxus, how dare you make inflections about Gajeel's love life? You have no clue what goes on in his personal life. Now, if you two are quite done measuring dicks, it's gonna be dark before too long and I'd like to have at least some form of shelter for the night. So, Laxus, you take care of some food for us. Gajeel, you're going to set up shelter. I'm going to gather wood and water. No arguments, you're giving me a headache." I snapped when Gajeel opened his mouth. With that, I spun on my heel and marched into the surrounding forestry.
