Don't Try (GERARD WAY FANFIC) (BOOK 2)

Chapter Nine-Tony

Jenna's POV

I wake up snuggled into somebody's chest. It takes me a moment to realize that it's Gerard.

"Good morning sunshine."

I look up and meet Gerard's purple orbs. The eyes I fell in love with long ago. The eyes I fell back in love with yesterday.

"Good morning Gerard. How'd you sleep?"

I sit up and stretch, releasing myself him the red haired man's grip.

"Quite alright, thanks to you."

A blush creeps on my face and I try to hide it. But Gerard grabs my chin and makes me face him.

"Don't hide it. It's adorable."

This only makes my blush grow. We start to lean in, but then we both realize what we're doing. The two of us jump away from each other and I stand up.

"I'm um, going to go start breakfast. You can get Dextin up."

I head to the kitchen and start making scrambled eggs and bacon. Soon, the three of us are sitting and eating our food. Gerard did an amazing job getting Dextin ready. We'll see how well he does tomorrow though when Dex has preschool.

Once we finish and clean up, Gerard hands me a bunch of envelopes. I look up at him confused.

"Well you were cooking, I went and got your mail for you. I hope you don't mind, I thought it would be a nice thing to do.

I smile at him.

"Oh thank you Gerard!"

I sit down on the couch with Dextin and Gerard and start to open my mail. The two boys don't pay any attention to me. Their eyes are glued to the television.

The first few envelopes are junk mail, so I put those to the side. Then I read one from my record company.

'Dear Jenna Way,

Congratulations once again on the hit single! As you know, your album is due for release in approximately two months. January 9th, 2024. I know you have a few songs written already, but we're looking for a total of at least fourteen. This is your debut album after all, so you'll need songs for the tour.

As for the tour, it will be taking place exactly one month after the release of your album. It's only a national tour, for now. We may add some shows in other countries. It might even become a world tour if you become popular enough. So do not plan anything from February to June.

Lastly, I would like to tell you about your album release party. It will be happening on the same day the albums releases, January 9th, 2024. You may bring up to three guests. It is happening in LA, so a private jet will pick up you and your guests from Newark Airport on January 9th at 9am. If you have any questions, you know where to call.

Holy shit. Damn. That's a lot. But man am I excited! I go to the next envelope and see it's from Hayley. But it's addressed to Gerard? I open it anyway, having a good guess at what it is. If it is what I think it is, then I'm happy Gerard got one.

God I can't wait for my best friend to get married! Her and Jerome are such couple goals. Hayley even asked me to be her maid of honor. I cried. A lot. And so did she.
