Jenna's POV

"Bye guys! See you later!"

Jerome and Hayley drive away, leaving me, Dextin, and Gerard at my apartment building. I pick up my son and put him on my hip, then show Gerard the way up to my apartment. He seems amazed at this, the way we all live in tinier spaces in one big building. I missed the little things that get didn't get.

When we enter the apartment, Dextin yawns. Guess someone is a little jet lagged and needs to sleep. I bring him to his room and lay him down on his bed. He's out almost instantly.

I exit his room and go to the kitchen to grab something for the two of us to snack on. I take some grapes from the fridge and put them in a bowl, then head for the alien in the family room. I sit down next to him on the couch, placing the grapes on the coffee table.

"So Jenna, how have you been? Tell me about you, and Dextin. I want to know all about him."

I smile. He already so prepared to start being a dad. It warms my heart.

"Well you saw him, he looks just like you. And he's the most polite and sweetest boy you will ever meet. He reminds me of you all the time actually. It's just-"

I'm cut off by the sound of ringing. I look down at my phone and read the screen. Tony. Wow, almost forgot about him with my baby daddy popping in. Wait, did I just called Gerard my baby daddy? I mean, I guess that is technically correct. I sigh and answer my phone, bringing it up to my ear.

"Hey babe! You said you'd call when you landed, and it's been a while, so I thought I'd call you in case you forgot."

Awe how sweet.

"Don't worry, I didn't forget. I just needed to get settled."

Yeah, get settled with the fact that the man I loved for so long was back in my life.

"Okay! I just wanted to let you know that I can come up next week. I cleared up my schedule just for you."

Great. I'm going to have to come up with an excuse for Gerard.

"Great! I can't wait to see you!"

"Me too babe! I'm going to let you rest now, I know how much jet lag sucks. Goodbye!"

"Bye!"

I hang up the phone then place it on the coffee table. Gerard looks at me expectingly. Oh, he's probably wondering who that was.

"That was Tony. My uh, boyfriend."

Gerard's happy face from before fades, and a sad look replaces it. It breaks my heart. But what did he expect? It's been almost six years.

"Oh, so you have a boyfriend?"

I nod.

"Yeah, he's really nice. He took me, Dextin, Hayley, and Jerome out on his yacht yesterday actually."

Gerard kind of slumps against the couch.

"I'm sorry that I could never take you out anywhere. That I didn't have money or a car. But this time, I'm determined to get some sort of job, one that doesn't require people knowing anything about me. So I can provide for us, for our son."

It takes everything in me to not let the tears in my eyes slip out. I just blink them away so Gerard doesn't see them, which he thankfully doesn't.

"I never minded that Gerard. What we had, it was nice. I loved it. I loved you."

He perks up at that statement. I make sure to turn away so he doesn't see my blush.

"I said loved Gerard. As in the past. I'm with someone else now."

When my cheeks cool, I turn back to him. He looks as he did before, but now there's a twinkle in his eye.

"So, Jenna, you told me about Dextin. Now tell me about yourself. All I know is that you were on television for some reason and our son was there."

I smile and laugh a little bit. Gerard looks at me confused.

"So actually, the reason might be because of you."

He looks at me dumbfounded. Yeah I should have expected that.

"So I used to work at a recording studio and my boss was a total creep. One day he took it too far and I kind of lost it. I cried to my friends while at home, and after they left. Then, it got me thinking and missing you. And to let out my emotions without tears, I wrote a song. The next day, I recorded the song in my recording studio and uploaded it online.

"I soon became an internet sensation after that. And not too much later, I got a call from a record company and they signed me to produce an album. I agreed and they got my song on the radio and that interview your planet saw. The interview was to help promote myself, since I'm still quite unknown. But yeah, I'll be having an album coming out in about two months, then I get to go on tour sometime after that."

Gerard stares at me with his mouth wide open. It takes a few moments, but then he finally snaps out of it.

"Oh wow! That's so amazing! The mother of my child is a rock star! You have to show me the song you made!"

I smile and pick up my phone, opening up the music app. Yeah that's right, I'm on iTunes. I click on my song and it starts playing. I look at him as it plays, and I can tell he loves it. Just by the small smile on his lips and the way he slightly nods his head with the beat. When it ends, I cock my head at him. I know he likes it, but I need to hear him say it.

"That was absolutely spectacular! I knew you were talented, but not this talented!"

It just occurred to me how close our faces are. During the song I guess one or both of us moved closer together. I see his eyes flicker down to my lips, and my breathing hitches in my throat. Like a magnet, I'm drawn to him. Our faces get closer and closer, until there's no space between us and our lips are touching.

I feel the same feeling I felt all those years ago. Sparks, no, fireworks go off. I missed this wonderful feeling so much. This literally could not be a better week. First the interview, then Tony and-

Oh no. Tony.

I jump away from Gerard, probably scaring him. He looks at me with wild eyes.

"What's the matter Jenna? Is everything alright?"

I pop up to my feet and look down at him.

"I-I shouldn't have done that. I'm dating Tony and I really like him. Gerard, you just came back into my life. I loved you once but not anymore. You can stay here and help me raise our child but that's it. I'm sorry. There's blankets and pillows in the closet in the hall. You can sleep on the couch. G-Goodnight."

I don't even wait for his response. I just run to my bedroom and close the door behind me. I look outside and see that it's still light out. I honestly don't care though. I'm exhausted, definitely from the plane and that stress I just went through.

With a sigh, I walk over to my dresser and pick out some pajamas. I slide them on, then climb into my bed. I fall asleep instantly, dreaming of only one thing. My red headed alien.

Woah. So that happened. Oops. Shit happened, of course. I just can't WAIT for you guys to see what I have in store for y'all. It's gonna be GREAT! Okay, so, see you next time!
