I: Invitation

This 'emergency' meeting better be worth it," Leia said, crossing her arms and tapping her shoe on the ground impatiently.Sunday morning on Coruscant. Han smiled at her gently, "don't worry, it will be." he laid back on a metal chair, they were in a local bar, waiting for Luke to return from his morning training.

"Why do you have that look on your face?" Leia questioned, Han just grinned wider. "It's positive news, I promise."

"Well, I hope it was worth waking up at 5am for," she gritted her teeth as Chewbacca laughed. Luke entered, his face covered in sweat and a new set of bandages have been wrapped around his arm. "What did you get yourself into this time, kid?" Han asked as Luke took the seat next to Chewie. Luke ruffled up his sandy blonde hair before speaking, "I just used my lightsaber against these dolls, I think I burnt a tree down." he explained. Han smiled and clapped his hands, rubbing them together excitedly.

"You know what next week is?" he asked them.

Chewbacca cried out in response, "that's right Chewie!" Han cried, pointing at his wookie friend "it's Life Day and Lando has invited us to Cloud City for a dance party!"

Leia groans, wisps of brown hair get the way in her face. "You were so hyped up for one event." she sets her head down on the table. "Why tell us so early?"

"Because we're VIP!" Han cries and smiles again. Luke had a different approach, although he didn't mind the crowded surroundings and the interaction. It's the dance part that got him worried. He never really danced before. If kicking your legs count as dancing, he supposed. He knew that there was going to be alcohol and loud disruptive behaviours.

Leia sighs after thinking it through, "alright, sounds fun." she turns towards her brother "maybe we can find you a date." she smiles at him, Han laughs. Luke laughs back nervously. "Alright, I'm heading back." she tells them and starts walking off back to the base. Han notices Luke's nervousness in his dark ocean-blue eyes. "Everything okay, kid?" he asks. Luke shrugs.

If Leia wants to find him a date, which means he'd have to dance...with a girl. "I've never...danced before," he admits, looking to the ground in embarrassment. Han laughs "well that's no worry, we can teach you."

"W-What?" he stutters, slightly shocked at his friend's answer. Han smiles at him again "no sweat, kid, it's easy." he reassured him. There was a pause before Han gasped suddenly, scaring Luke. "I just realised...Leia's a princess and you're her brother. Do you know what that makes you?!" Han exclaimed in excitement.

"Her brother?" Luke answers, oblivious.

"A prince - techincally!" he cries, slamming his fist on the table dramatically. Han definitely had alcohol this morning, he's more chaotic than usual. Chewbacca nods in agreement. "You're also a Jedi Knight, which means you're a real catch kid, we'll find you a date in no time!" Luke smiles awkwardly again. Real catch? If I'm a real catch...then why don't you like me back.

Luke thought, he looks around and makes an excuse to leave, shaking away the thought "uh, I gotta go." he says, standing up and leaving the booth "I'll see you around Han."

"Bye, Luke!" he waves cheerfully, Luke walks out of the noisey bar and into the silence of the streets. Hot wind blows as he walks back to base to see where his sister went. Does he even have good clothes to wear? Anything?

Last time at the medal ceremony, he borrowed Han's clothes. That was the moment that sparked something, and how the hell do they think they can teach him to dance? He may be a fighting Jedi but he's awkward as heck. He walks back into the cool building and into his room.

It was messy but it was decent enough to live in. He ruffled his hair and opens his wardrobe. He needs to find Leia.

Han was happy. He's dating Princess Leia, has a great group of friends. Nothing could bring this down.

"Oh, Luke," Leia laughed "we really need to find you some decent clothing." she looked at the wardrobe, a few robes and jedi outfits, plus the rebel pilot one and just a few 'casual clothes' but nothing formal. "Why do you think I knocked on your door?" Luke smiled, leaning against the doorframe.

"Leia, why do you want to get me a date anyway?" he asked her. Leia smiled at him politely "I just don't want you to miss out and be lonely for a while."

"What do you mean by that?" Luke says, confused.

"Han and I are getting married in a few months." Leia smiles, showing him the ring. How the frick did he not notice the ring? He swallows, Han and Leia...marrying? He should have seen it coming. Now he has zero chances with Han. "I'm happy for you," he replies honestly. Leia hugs him "well, let's see what we can do about this wardrobe."
