XIII: Escape

Luke was dying. He felt it, he grabbed his lightsaber and turned it on, cutting through most of the rock. His body was weak but the Force was strong in him. He groaned, cutting the rocks in anger. They hurt Han. They tricked Leia. They're hurting everyone he cared about. He screamed, the rocks breaking into pieces, he was free. Evaan was shocked, he charged at her, punching her in the face and using the Force to pin her down. The Emperor was nowhere to be found.

He breathed heavily "where the f*** is that wrinkly piece of s***?" he spat. Evaan was crying "he went to kill my f-family...he said I was next!" she cried. Luke rolled his eyes, letting go of her. She gasped for air, it felt restraining and awful under the Force's influence.

He continued climbing, sweat drenched his clothes as he reached the top. The ship was gone, they were safe, he sat down next to a tree and breathed. "Leia..." he croaked, his nose bleeding from the impact beforehand. "Send in a ship, please. I'm weak..."

"We got you kid." Han Solo's voice said over the mic.

"Han?" he whispered, stinging in pain. The Falcon had turned around, landing next to them, the ramp lowered and he limped towards it, gripping on the pole and pulled himself in the ship, he ran to Han who was sitting on the medical bed.

"Han!" he cried, hugging him and crying. The doors were closing. Han smiled and looked at Luke. "Thanks kid," he smiled, he now looked concerned for the young man.

"Are you okay?"

"I'm fine," Luke gasped, although he was in pain. Han was safe. The brown-haired man cupped Luke's face, "Luke, I know."

"Know what?" Luke said, still kneeling beside him.

"I know you love me."

Luke blushed, "how did you know?"

"Evaan's not good at hiding things," he laughed, Luke laughed back. "So, how was the wedding?"

Luke sighed and laughed nervously "it was okay."
"I bet Leia looked beautiful." he smiled at the thought of his soon-to-be-wife. Man... Han does love Leia.

"She was," Luke smiled "when we get back, when you're fixed up we can have another wedding."

Han smiled "I think we shouldn't...I've thought about it when I was kidnapped. I think Leia and I should just have a vacation together, that's all." Luke smiled.

"That's nice..." there was an awkward pause, Luke stood and dragged a chair next to him.

"So, can you explain to me what really happened - from the beginning?"

Luke sighed, this was going to take a while. "Well...it started at the Life Day party. Evaan was there, she noticed me - uhm," he turned red "staring at you." Han laughed.

"It's okay, I know I'm a looker."

Luke smiled, continuing "she said we can be a fake couple, so that she can have Leia and I can have you. I couldn't do it, I couldn't break my friend's true happiness."

Han smiled wide. Luke froze. It was one of those smiles... One of those smiles that he gave Leia - and now he's giving it to him. He stuttered, continuing. "Then she kept on annoying me, with affection. She had a plan to try to get her way. I refused over and over. I thought I had moved on from my feelings for you, but they were too strong. I couldn't fight it."

Han sat up, taking Luke's metal hand and holding it. "Kid, you've done so much for me. Thank you." he stroked the blonde's hair and grinned. It all happened at once, a spark happened between them. Han connected their lips, this time it was a real kiss. It was passionate, it felt real. It felt like there was this never ending stream of love connecting them together.

"What about Leia?" Luke asked, breaking the kiss for air.

Han smiled "we'll sort that out later." the smuggler said, stealing another kiss.
