Sana woke up the next morning, her body sore from recent events. She attempted to roll out of bed, but was caught under Sooyoung's arm, preventing her from getting up. She rolled over to face her girlfriend, smiling at her still sleeping face.
"I need to pee. And if you don't let me out... I'm gonna pee in this bed." Sana chuckled.
"Mmm no." Sooyoung mumbled while holding her tighter.
"I'm gonna pee." Sana laughed.
"No you're not."
"Peeing!"
"Fine!" Sooyoung let her go, Sana laughing as she ran to the bathroom. When she got back, she dove on the bed, tackling Sooyoung and pinning her to the bed. "You act like I hate this." She chuckled.
"I really love it." Sana smiled.
The sun had begun to peek over the buildings that surrounded their apartment building, the little bit of sunlight that creeped in had slowly made its way to the two of them.
Usually it was a bright white light to them. Especially Sana. But this time, as the light crept in, she couldn't help but stare at Sooyoung's features. Her eyes weren't a shade of black or a grey when the light hit in anymore. They were a deep shade of brown until the light hit it, making them the most beautiful shade of a dark honey color.
"What?" Sooyoung whispered. "Why are you looking at me like that?"
"Your eyes... are really pretty..." Sana whispered.
It didn't take much longer for Sana's vision to clear up again. Being able to see colors helped her a lot. Especially when taking notes. Instead of underlining everything she was able to highlight and take better notes for class. It was getting closer to the end of the year, everyone excited about their plans.
"I got asked to dance this year." Jihyo smiled at her sisters.
"Oh, with who?" Dahyun asked. Sana glanced up at her, seeing her eyes flick back to Sana.
"Momo.. We're dancing with a guy from the law school down the block." She answered.
"She's made quite the name for herself. From what I hear, she's been asked to dance a lot..." Dahyun frowned.
"She's been that way since forever." Sana mumbled, a pain creeping in her chest. "She's always been a talented dancer." As she spoke about Momo, the pain worsened, she shook her head, fighting through the pain. "I'll be there." She smiled at Jihyo. "For the whole performance this time." She struggled last time, and felt horrible that she couldn't watch last time. But she was going to try this time.
The five different schools had put on the best festival they could. Games, booths, rides, everything including the concert was done by the students with barely any help from the professors. Sana walked with her friends, all of them pointing at various things, wanting to do everything.
"What about this one?!" Chaeyoung ran off with Mina towards a shooting game, knowing her wife would be great at it. Sana rolled her eyes and continued her walk with Jihyo.
"So, you and Sooyoung." Jihyo smiled.
"What about us?" Sana asked.
"You guys are pretty close." She shrugged. "You never really... Spoke to any of us about what happened to you and Momo though..." She frowned. "I feel like... You should talk to someone about it." She sighed. Sana nodded, she didn't know how to tell anyone about it, especially since she didn't feel anything.
"Well.. I just... I remember not feeling well. And she was taking care of me." Sana frowned, trying to remember everything. "She rode the bus home with me after our first finals, helping me cook, I helped her with her classes... Then that summer, I had gotten a huge pain in my chest, causing me to just... Collapse in the kitchen." She explained. "My parents took me to the hospital and after hours of testing they found a rash and my skin was peeling off of my body all over my back." Sana continued. Jihyo nodded, letting her continue. "After that, they told me that it was the peeling thing, and I started to lose my vision, and every time I looked at Momo or even spoke to her... It killed me."
"Killed you?" She frowned.
"It hurt terribly..." Sana frowned while rubbing her chest. "Seeing her so hurt... Then.. After I lost all of my emotions... She still tried.. She tried to be there for me.." Sana whispered. "Then she decided to break things off... Saying that maybe I just needed some space... Then we lost contact." She sighed.
"And now..." Jihyo frowned.
"Now... Every time I see her or talk about her, or think about her... I feel this sharp pain in my chest..." Sana sighed.
"I'm so sorry Sana... I really hate that all of that happened to you." Jihyo frowned. "Do you think maybe you could try again with her? I know you have Sooyoung, but what if that doesn't work out?" She asked.
"If I peel again?" Sana frowned. "Or if she peels again?" Sana asked.
"Both of you peeled?!" Jihyo gasped. Sana nodded and explained what had happened to her at a young age. "Geez.. Maybe you two have a lot more in common." Jihyo frowned. Sana let out a defeated sigh and walked with her to the concert area. "Want to come with me backstage?" She asked.
"Sure. Sooyoung isn't coming tonight anyway. She's sick." Sana shrugged. She followed Jihyo backstage, waving at a few people that recognized her. She met with the other performer that her friend was dancing with, excited for the two of them.
"We're just waiting on Momo, she's supposed to be here soon." Jihyo whispered.
"Maybe I should leave now... Sit with the girls." Sana whispered. Jihyo nodded, leading her to the door. "Break a leg!" Sana smiled while hugging her friend. As she left, she collided with another body, falling backwards.
"I'm so sorry!" She felt herself being helped up. "Are you okay?"
"I'm fine..." Sana whispered. She opened her eyes and saw Momo holding her wrists helping her back up. She felt an intense pain in her chest, her breathing quickened. "Momo.." She frowned.
"Sana.... I'm so sorry, I was running a little late..." She frowned. "I wasn't watching where I was going, this is all my fault." She quickly apologized. The same Momo... Sana wanted to be happy, but the pain... She closed her eyes, the pain somewhat subsiding. "Are you sure you're okay?" She whispered, her hand touching Sana's cheek.
It wasn't a lie that Momo missed Sana. She missed her so much, even if they only knew each other for a few months, only holding her hand and kissing her cheek while they were in high school. She held her cheek in her hand, waiting for an answer. Her answer quickly came when Sana pressed her lips against hers.
