Chapter 5 - Christmas

The two of you had been dating for a month now. Everything was going very well! (Thankfully) Two weeks into your relationship, Shota asked if you'd be his girlfriend, and you said yes. It was now the day before Christmas, and you were looking for a gift for your boyfriend. You had already bought him a hoodie, a few pairs of socks, and a nice watch, but you wanted to give him something really good. You were walking around the mall while listening to Present Mic's podcast.

"AND HE LIFTED THE CROSS UP AT ME LIKE HE WAS EXORCISING ME! I have to admit, I was acting like I was posessed, but I always act like that!" You giggled and looked up. Then you saw it. You had wondered aimlessly into a sporting goods store, and you saw a cute yellow sleeping bag. 'Holy shit that's perfect. Wait, doesn't he already have a sleeping bag? Yeah, but it's a little old. I think he'll like this.'  You nodded to yourself. You bought the yellow sleeping bag, then went home to wrap everything you bought.

The Next Day

"Merry Christmas Shota!" He opened his presents first. Shota appreciated the hoodie and socks, and he really loved the watch. Then he looked confusedly at the last box. He opened it and smiled widely.

"Heh. A yellow sleeping bag? Why yellow?"

"I just thought you always looked too depressed when you slept in your black one, now you can look sleep deprived, but still bright and happy in this one!" Your boyfriend grinned wider and tackled you.

"How'd you know I needed a new one?"

"Dummy, I've slept in your black one, you've had it for ages. I knew you needed a new one."

"Thank-you Y/n. This is one of the best presents I've gotten in years." You blushed.

"It's nothing, really."

"Let's try out this new sleeping bag." Shota got in, then pulled you to his chest and you squirmed under the top.

"It fits both of us."

"It's perfect." You snuggled into his chest.

"Hey, shouldn't you open your presents now?"

"No, I wanna stay here." Shota chuckled.

"Okay."

You stayed there like that for an hour, until your stomach started growling for food.

"Someone's hungry."

"Shhh."

"I'm glad I found someone as tired as me." You giggled.

"I don't think anyone's as tired as you Shota."

You were both silent again for a while.

"Y/n..."

"Yeah?"

"I love you." You panicked, and tried to sit up, but ended up kneeing Shota in the crotch and the two of you rolled around in the sleeping bag uncontrollably.

"Oh God Shota I'm sorry!" He groaned.

"It's okay."

"Would it make you feel better if I said I love you too?" He cracked a tiny smile.

"Yes."

"I love you Shota Aizawa."

"Thank you. I think getting kneed in the crotch is totally worth it now."
