In a matter of moments I had dragged all my friends to the cafeteria and through it's open doors. I was not going to allow Dwayne to catch me today. I wasn't in the mood for a full awkward conversation between the two of us.

Audrey wiggled away from my grasp and stopped walking.

"Brianna? What are we doing here? You know we don't eat this cafeteria food. We're allowed to leave the building to get lunch. We're seniors now."

I almost forgot. It has been a full semester we'd been in 12th grade yet, I still swore I was still a junior. I guess all that hard work at school was messing with my memory.

"Sorry Audrey. Let's head to the side exit before we get hypnotized by this disgusting food."

Audrey laughed and turned around and headed for the exit. We all followed behind her watching the poor kids stare at the unknown material that was on their plates. Personally when I was them, I didn't bother making heads or tails of whether the blob was mash potatoes or snot. I just through it the fuck away.

We headed back down the hall and left the school through the exits. I was so glad I was finally a senior. Now, we have so many privileges that we previously don't have. And best most of all we got to boss around the freshman and sophomores!

"I think we should head to the pizzeria down the road," Mabel suggested.

Harper interjected, "I love it there, and they give out this cute little toys to kids!"

I mentally face palmed and Audrey physically did. Harper. . . She will always be a child at heart and out loud.

"Yeah, I think that's a great idea," I agreed.

So we walked down the sidewalk arms locked in a chain hidden at our sides. From the time we were young and walking to the mall, we'd do that from the time we were ten. It was just in case some creep tried to snatch one of us. He'd have to have the weight of four girls to drag along with him.

It was our mothers' ideas, they told us "don't ever let go of each other ever." And we've listened to those words echoing in our minds for the past seven almost eight years.

"So Mabel, tell me about Basil," Harper blurted out. Why was she so intresring in Mabel's hook up?

Mabel began to blush so much that a red colour showed up on her carmel cheeks. I could swear I saw the heat rising to her cheeks, she was so flooded with those damn hormones she could barely speak. Annoyed that she couldn't answer Harper's question, I jolted my hand up to her cheeks and tapped it rapidly. Her eyes blinked with each tap on her face.

"Mabel! Wake the hell up!" I commanded trying not to yell to loud.

"Jesus Brianna what did I tell you about this?!" Mabel asked whil rubbing he cheek to try and get whatever germs I trnasfered off.

I rolled my eyes to the side and pulled my bottom lip under my top, "Don not touch my face."

Mabel puffed out some air of annoyance, "Yeah! Exac-"

"-But it's sure as hell effective," I countered making Audrey laugh loudly.

Mabel decdied to move on from me and to talk about Basil.

"Harper. To answer your pervious question. I talked to Basil first-"

"-Of course you did?" I cut her off pressing my lips together. I fought back the urge to roll my eyes again, because if I did my eyes would probably still in the back and I'd look really creepy for a long time.

Mabel shot me a death stare, then immediately got back to informing us about Basil.

"Anyway. We got to talking, he wanted my number then one thing led to another. And that's how we ended making out near the fountain today.
