After that perfect kiss ended, Richie grabbed Eddie's hand and stood up, pulling him back to the water. They stayed there for a few more hours before Richie finally decided it was time to speak up about what had happened only a few hours ago. "Hey Eds?" He said grabbing Eddie's hands again. "Yes Rich?" Richie looked away sadly and then sighed, rubbing the backs of Eddie's hands with his thumbs in soothing circular motions. Eddie became nervous now, seeing Richie's face. "Eddie, I've wanted to tell you this for a long time, I umm, I, I'm gay" Eddie's face lit up "I know, Rich... YOU F-ING SCARED ME, YOU A**!" He hit Richie playfully and laughed. "Eddie! I thought I was doing a good job of hiding it!" Richie laughed and slowly put his hand on Eddie's cheek. He leaned forward and kissed Eddie softly. He pulled away and smiled widely. "You were until today" Eddie laughed.
Richie grabbed his hand and help him out of the water to go get their shirts. They dried off and made their way home.
