"So, you ready to start off the year being queen?" Eric asked Jenny, picking out a croissant for himself and pouring coffee into a cup container.

Jenny looked at her best friend of two years with a knowing expression, debating whether to choose a low-carb meal for breakfast or just get the Humphrey's Specialty which was waffles made by her father. "To be queen, I have to be another mini Blair, and after what happened last time.. With Nate at the Snowflake Ball, I don't think I'd want that for myself. So this year, it's all going to be me focusing on chasing after my prince charming." She explained.

"That sounds very zen of you," Eric said, slumping a bag on his shoulder, trailing behind Jenny who was already heading for the elevator. "Except one thing though, Nate's dating and very happy with my sister." He revealed.

"Not when I'm done," Jenny said, turning around after pushing the elevator's buttons to face Eric. "Serena will be Serena, she will find a way to cheat or hurt any guys she's with, just look at my brother. And when that happens, Nate will be back in my arms, I'm sure the feelings from before are still there." She ranted.

The elevator finally dinged open and they both entered almost immediately. Eric only sighed hearing the statement that came out of her best friend's mouth, having an urge to tell her what a bad idea it was - however, he knew to not stand in the way of a girl and their dreams. "Well, count me out of the plan cause it seems more like you're chasing after a Mission Impossible to me." He declared.

Jenny only smirked and didn't say anything after that, stepping out of the elevator the moment it finally reached the floor they were heading towards. A town car was already waiting for them to take them both to school as she went inside the car after letting the driver open the door for her, still with a knowing smile lingered on her face as she thought of her plan in getting her man back.

"Honestly, when I woke up to nothing next to me, I genuinely thought I was in the middle of a one-night-stand last night." Serena asked, along with a yawn walking towards the kitchen, seeing Nate already stood by the counter, making what look like breakfast for the two of them.

Nate turned to the side to glance at the girl with shiny, messy kind of blond hair who was now wearing only his shirt along with a knee-high socks. He chuckled at the statement, "Yeah, sorry about that, but I just remembered that I have a morning class. So, I thought I'd make breakfast for you to grab when I'm gone later." He told.

Serena stared blankly and walked closer to where Nate was standing, pretending to help with the cooking by taking out a milk from the fridge and putting them on the counter. "Oh, so you're planning to leave me without giving me a proper good bye?" She frowned.

Nate glanced to the side, dropping everything down on the counter and stared into the eyes of the girl next to him. "No, I was actually planning to do this..." He leaned in closer and put his hand on Serena's cheek, starting to plant several kisses on her face before finally landing his lips on hers. He put her on the counter as his hand rested on her lap, processing to do whatever it was he needed to do just to please the girl of his dreams.

Serena clearly was enjoying every second of it despite the thought she had before waking up. Long story short, the night before she was just bored out of her mind and looking through every inch of Nate's room until she found something. A letter. She was debating whether or not to open it because she knew it would have meant invading his privacy and that's the last thing she needed from their relationship. However, curiosity washed over her and made her fingers work its way to tear apart the letter as she began to scan over the words letter by letter.

Dear Jenny,

I'm sorry for leaving without saying good bye and I really wanted to deliver this letter right on your door step but after what happened last time, with your brother and everything.. I just couldn't bring myself to. Especially now that I have nowhere else to go and forcibly had to leave town for a while to live with my mother. But if you get this letter, just know that I didn't forget about you. However, now that your brother knows about us, I just don't know what to do. I don't know how it will work out between us. But I really want it to because I really care about you and I might even love you.

It feels good to be writing their story again especially when THIS is the only project that people actually comment on LMAO. But uh oh, let's just pretend the whole season 3 was about their triangle and longer than the stupid writers intended it to. so in this one, Nate never actually sent the letter and Jenny never got to read it, so yeah.. :)
