Nate and Jenny were walking towards the beach and as soon as Jenny's feet stepped on to the sand, she took off the sandals. They spotted Serena and Carter already sitting on one of the colorful couches, string of lights were hung above them, a group of band was singing across from them.

Serena waved at Jenny as soon as she saw the girl walking up to where she was sitting, "Jenny! And Nate! Finally, here sit next to us!" She shouted, pointing towards the two empty seats beside her.

Jenny could see the bottle of champagne was on the table already, probably ordered under Serena's name. She plopped herself down as soon as she reached Serena and smiled at her, "So is this what you usually do at the beach? Watching some band performing while drinking?" She asked.

"Yeah, here have some, we'll play a little truth or dare a little later." Serena said, sliding a glass of champagne into Jenny's direction as the girl took it.

"Seriously, what are you, ten? I thought truth or dare was left in high school," Jenny retorted, bringing a glass of champagne into her mouth.

Serena rolled her eyes, "At what age are you supposed to be right now?" She challenged, knowing for a fact that Jenny was younger than she was.

"Point taken." Jenny replied, nudging Nate on the thigh, as he looked at her way.

"What?" Nate remarked, furrowing a brow.

"I think Carter's a bit lonely," Jenny began to say. It was also a way for Nate to go over there so she and Serena could have a little time for themselves. And it looked like he understood because he stood up almost immediately.

Serena looked at the view in front of her, the sun was beginning to set, yet the sky was still shining as bright as day. Then she turned to look at Jenny, "So how long have you and Nate been together?" She asked.

Jenny shrugged her shoulders, looking down on her feet, chewing the bottom of her lip; an attempt she did whenever she couldn't explain something. "I don't know, honestly, we haven't put a label on our relationship, yet. I think we're comfortable..." She finally replied, looking up to catch Serena's eyes.

"Well, don't get comfortable too long or you'll lose him for good," Serena reminded Jenny, she tilted her head to where Nate was sitting, talking to her boyfriend and laughing, then back at Jenny, "I mean look at him. And look at the girls over there, pawning over him. If you want him, you have to lock him down, Jenny." She advised, her eyes motioned to the girls sitting about three couches away from them, squeezing Jenny's hand.

Jenny sighed, "I don't know, Serena. I like where we are in our relationship, and I don't want anything to ruin that," She explained.

Serena rolled her eyes, leaning her back on the couch, "Well, suit yourself. Don't say I didn't warn you." She said, enjoying the sight upfront and the band that was still performing a mainstream pop song.

Jenny sighed afterwards, her eyes wandered to Nate, watching him intently. He laughed, his cheeks deepened and damn was it the cutest thing ever. She thought about what Serena said as she chugged another drink down her throat. She knew deep down that Serena was right; if she didn't act fast, those girls who still had their eye fixated on Nate Archibald would, and she hated having the images in her head. So she took another drink.

Nate saw how upset Jenny was and excused himself from Carter, "Well, I better go check on Jenny, man. It was nice seeing you again, by the way, we should schedule to play some football tomorrow," He said to Carter.

"Yeah, we definitely should. Hit me up, any time." Carter remarked, then Nate got up and back to sit next to Jenny.

"Hey, Jen," Nate greeted, nudging the girl on the arm, making her turn her head to the side to glance at him.

"Your man talks done yet?" Jenny joked, her legs were glued to her chest as her arms locked them securely,

"Could've asked you the same thing," Nate chuckled, indicating to the girl talks Jenny had just finished with Serena.

Jenny was seen rolling her eyes for the millionth time tonight as she remarked, "Nate, can I ask you something without you getting defensive?" She asked.

Nate looked at Jenny in confusion, but nodded anyway. "Yeah, sure. Ask away," He answered.

"In your letter, you said that you cared about me," Jenny paused, looking in the distance before continuing the sentence, "but how much?" She questioned, her eyes found Nate's and stared at him closely.

"Yeah that's still true, but what exactly do you mean, Jen?" Nate asked.

Jenny couldn't exactly put it into words on what she was going to say so she remained silent for a moment. Only a little later did she begin to speak again, "Well is it so much that you are willing to tell me where we stand right now in this relationship? You know, like some kind of commitment?" She shrugged.

Nate remained silent and was in deep thought. He had been wanting to ask Jenny out for quite some time now but time almost never worked on their favor. Like, everything was always in the way but now there they were, sitting by the beach, it was just the right time to finally settle things.

"You're right, Jenny," Nate finally said, leaning his head towards Jenny, making her drop everything she did and looked at him as well. "I know it might have taken us a long time to get here; a one way ticket and scandal," He laughed, but continued his speech anyway, "But we're here now, and Jennifer Tallulah Humphrey, will you go on a date with me?" He declared.

Jenny didn't have to be told twice and landed her mouth right on his, kissing him as hard as she could, her arms wrapped around his neck. He kissed her back almost immediately right there on the beach, with everyone (who was gazing over him earlier) still watching them with their mouths gape open in shock. Even Serena turned her attention away from the performance to look at the happy couple next to her, a proud grin came across her face.

Jenny broke away from the kiss, with her towering over Nate, grinning, "I'm sorry for not answering your question, but I thought that was a better way to answer, right?" She said.

Nate smiled, "So right." He pulled Jenny closer once more, kissing her over and over as if he didn't care about the eyes specifically thrown at them.

What's your favorite thing to do while you're watching the sunset by the beach? <3
