I thought I didn't
see and hear right.

Ethan is in my office.

Ethan Filters is in my office.

What the hell is he doing in my office?

"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have acted that way Charlotte-"

"No. Call me Miss Walters." I said coldly.

Who the hell allowed him in my office?

"I thought you were in England. You're supposed to be there, not here."

What was Susan thinking? Allowing him in my office?

He sighed and rubbed his forehead.

"I came for businesses and to apologise. What I did was unlike me and I'm sorry. I made an excuse that I have a flight to catch up to because I couldn't really handle seeing you unexpectedly. I should have handled the matter professionally." Ethan said moving closer to the large window on his right.

I can't believe him. He made up a lame excuse just so that he could avoid me?

Couldn't handle seeing me? Maybe he felt so guilty about what he did that he couldn't bare looking at me.

"It's been six years Charlotte." he said.

"I said call me-"

"Yeah, Miss Walters," he sighed, almost as if he was really irritated by my coldness towards him, "yeah yeah, I know. I want to patch things up, I don't want the deal to partially affect Jake's and my company. I want the profit to affect the whole company, that's all. So how about we put whatever happened before and make the deal we had intended to the first time?" He said turning around to look at me.

I now saw how his eyes were, I forgot how blue they were. How I used to get lost in them when we were together and-

Shut up Charlotte.

I thought. The deal he proposed was far more than good enough.

Besides, it was only business and I don't have to take it personally.

"Yes. I'm taking up your offer Mr. Filters." I said after a moment of thinking.

He smiled and raked his hand through his hair. He walked towards me and I dared not to move an inch away so that I would show him I wasn't intimidated by him.

Luckily, he smiled and walked past me to open the door. I smelt his cologne as he passed me.

Ocean breeze. The one I had told him to put on seven years ago because I said I had loved it.

Before he walked out the office, he looked behind and stood.

"Thankyou." He said and then closed the door behind him.

"You're lying!" Jessica squeaked through the phone.

"I wish it were all a lie, but, this is reality." I responded blankly as I covered my self in the blanket.

"AND THEN YOU HAVE A FUCKING DATE WITH JAKE TOMORROW!"

"Yeah. He's a good guy if you got to know him more in high school."

"Ooh, did you forget he was one of the popular guys in highschool? Every one knew everything about that guy. He's so humble, isn't he? With such a hot face... Oh my God I still remember how he looks."

I rolled my eyes as I got comfortable in bed.

"We both sound like we're in high school again"

We both laughed, maybe upon remebering how she used to fangirl about boys.
