Chapter 6 / Yibo - Never do that again!

It's been over three months since Zhan left for his mission. And today for the first time there was news from them. They traveled from Russia to Argentina and almost had the target Unfortunately, the target, who still nobody knew who it was, got wind of it and smashed the skull of the owner of a pension.

Yibo was worried about Zhan, because they were obviously dealing with a very dangerous man. But Yibo didn't have much time to think, because he and Lee Qing got a new mission. And as Yibo suspected, it would probably take some time.

Together with Lee Qing he was supposed to attend university. There were incidents around drugs and abuse for a long time. Since the two of them look very young for their age they were perfect for this. They should make friends with some students and find out where the drugs came from and what the abuse allegations are about.

This was Yibo's first major assignment and it made him a little nervous. In addition, he and Lee Qing were supposed to play a couple. He didn't like the thought of this at all and he couldn't imagine that Zhan would like it. The agency had already prepared everything.

They both enrolled them at the university, registered them as fiancées. Got them a place to stay and provided them with any teaching materials they needed. They were agents and on mission, but they were undercover and had to act like any other student. Including studying.

And while Lee Qing made contacts after only a few days, Yibo found it difficult. He could never really do anything with strangers and was very taciturn but he knew he had to make an effort and change for the mission. So he put on a fake smile, enrolled in different clubs, sports, dance and theatre and met some of the students.

Even though Yibo knew that this was part of their undercover mission, he found it hard to introduce Lee Qing as his fiancée. He felt like a traitor. Not only that he had to take off his wedding ring and got an engagement ring from the agency, but also because it seemed to him that Lee Qing was taking this a little too seriously, he was worried.

However, after three weeks they hadn't made any progress at all. Everything they learned was nothing else than what the agency already knew. And since they were undercover, Yibo didn't even know if Zhan might have returned already. He didn't want to be unprofessional and keep calling the agency and asking about it. Besides, this knowledge wouldn't be of any use to him, who wouldn't be allowed to contact Zhan.

The fourth week was upon and Yibo slowly understood why Zhan hated being undercover. He found it increasingly difficult to maintain his cover. Especially since Lee Qing apparently kept forgetting that they aren't really together. Only a few days ago she made a scene for him, because in her opinion he talked to a female student for too long.

But tonight he wanted to try to relax and maybe find some new information. They were invited to a party and according to one student, there was something to cheer them up. Just what they were looking for. Now all they had to do was find out who was selling something and from whom he was getting his merchandise.

Around 9 pm Yibo and Lee Qing finally reached the party. One hour late and that only because Lee Qing couldn't decide what to wear. In the end it became a long black evening dress with a low neckline at the back. Not exactly what you would wear at a normal student party, Yibo thought. But kept his thoughts to himself. He didn't want to have another fight with Lee Qing today.

Because at lunch they had quarreled again. He should keep his hands off the students, male and female. Lee Qing had told him. She also wants him to wear the engagement ring all the time. And he shouldn't always be so cool to her when they meet other students together. She is embarrassed to say that he is her fiancé,  when he looks as if it has been raining for ten days already.

Once again he tried to make her understand, not to lose sight of the fact that this is all just for show. Staged, nothing but camouflage for her mission. Then she threw her chopsticks at him. Insulted him for thinking her stupid and before he knew it, she stormed into her room in a rage and threw the door behind her with full force.

But finally they made it to the party and Yibo immediately started his undercover investigation. Different Lee Qing, she appeared as if she was a queen and first of all she allowed herself several glasses of wine, at least it looked like wine. And just when Yibo found someone who wanted to tell him who was selling drugs at this party. Lee Qing clashed with the table she was standing on.

All eyes were immediately focused on the drunk girl and as "fiancé" it was his job to take care of her. He picked her up from the floor and checked if she was hurt anywhere. She wrapped her arms around his neck and grinned. And before Yibo knew it, they had placed her lips on his and gave him a firm kiss.

Angrily, he dragged her behind him but the drunken Lee Qing was stronger than expected. She stopped in the middle of the hallway of the house, pulled Yibo back to her so that there was only a little less than half a meter between them and jumped into Yibo's arms. Both fell to the floor and she pushed his head to the floor and kissed him wildly.

Yibo pushed her off, grabbed her by the wrist and dragged she with him, out of the house. When they were far enough away from the house, Yibo yelled at her. "Never do that again!" Then he dragged her further behind him and hoped the fresh air would sober her up a little.

When they were finally home two hours later, he put Lee Qing to bed and went into the living room. He fetched a glass and sat down on the sofa where he poured himself a generous sip of the  whiskey he had bought on the way. He hadn't counted how many times he had poured himself to get rid of the taste of lipstick.

But when he woke up in the morning, he was almost struck by the blow. He was lying on the sofa in the living room, half-naked and beside him, in his arms and no more clothed than he was, Lee Qing was lying. "Damn, what happened?" he asked loudly and jumped up off the sofa.
