Jiang Cheng: What is her name again? Oh yes, Maya. Your daughter! Why do you never talk about her? Why don't you visit her once? And why don't you tell Yibo about her? You're a great father. You get drunk with your colleague and get seduced by her and then she gets pregnant too. That's funny. And instead of taking responsibility, you pretend it doesn't exist.

Zhan looked at Jiang Cheng and didn't know what to say. Not that Jiang Cheng is right, but why did he bring Maya into it?

Jiang Cheng: So you have nothing to say about that. The biggest secret of yours is out now. And how does it feel? Do you think you can be a father to her now? Now that your husband knows!

Jiang Cheng: Why me? Your husband is the one who has a daughter and abandoned her.

Zhan: Because she's dead! Because she and her mother were killed by the fucking Shadow leader! She fought him in spite of all the warnings. And when I was on a mission in France, she took it to the extreme. The leader came to her house at night and killed her and Maya. Maya was four months old. You didn't know that, did you? And I told Yibo about her!

Zhan had listened enough and said enough, he got up and wanted to go to his bedroom. Yibo got up with him, walked towards Jiang Cheng and punched him hard in the face.

Yibo: You deserve much more than that! How dare you condemn Zhan when you do not know the whole truth? Who gives you the right to defame him like this? If you want something from Seo Joon, take him and stand by it! He has feelings, too. It's not always about you!

Yibo went back to Zhan and helped him back into the bedroom. Zhan took him in his arms. "Thank you, Yibo." He said, kissing his husband.

Zhan and Yibo went to bed, even though Zhan thought he would not be able to sleep after all this, he wanted to try. Yibo put Zhan's head on his chest and stroked his hair and again expecting Zhan fall asleep.

ZHAN'S DREAM

"...I've told you a hundred times, don't mess with the shadows. You don't know what they're capable of anymore! I don't want our daughter to be in danger And since I have to go on a mission to Europe, I can't be there for you and the little one." Had Zhan told Kira, the mother of his daughter.

He had been worried that they weren't a couple and wouldn't become one, but one night when they were both drunk and she just wanted someone and he wanted to forget his ex-boyfriend for a moment, they were bound together forever. Kira became pregnant and gave birth to a healthy daughter. For her daughter they moved in together. At that time they had both been only twenty-three years old when they became parents.

Kira did not give up her job as an agent. She had worked too long and too hard to give it up now. And Zhan, who had only recently become a Special Agent, also did not want to give up his job. Also, because he earned much more money and could therefore support both of them. Young inexperienced parents and on top of that agents, not a very good mixture. But they did their best and Zhan loved his little daughter very much.

"As long as I'm in Europe, stay out of the shadows. This gang is ready for anything and the leader has threatened you several times now!" Had Zhan said to Kira before he left for Europe.

Zhan had just gotten closer to his target when he got a call from the Agency. "Zhan, it's me, Yu Bin. I'm sorry to have to tell you something. It's about Kira and Maya. They were murdered last night. Apparently Kira broke the rules and messed with the Shadow leader. He found out where you lived and broke into the house at night. He shot Kira and Maya. You must stop and come home." Yu Bin told him on the phone.

After Zhan hung up, he collapsed. And it was the target who cared about him, of all people. And he confided in the target. He told Pierre about his daughter's death and who it was. And Pierre, a leader of a gang with members worldwide, had helped Zhan get revenge on the leader of the Shadows. That was the unofficial truth. In exchange, Zhan and the Agency let him go, only to find out afterwards that he murdered a father and two children.

His clean slate was now stained. He had the blood of this man and his two children on his hands. He would never forgive himself, he knew that. And all this was only possible because he was careless for one night. One night when he wanted to forget his ex-boyfriend, whom he still loved very much. Again and again, he blamed himself. Again and again, he asked himself why he didn't take a transfer. Like Seo Joon had asked him to. He could have been with Seo Joon and none of this would have ever happened.

Zhan hadn't dreamt about it for a long time and remembered it so intensely. It hurt him and he still reproached himself now, years later. But no longer for not going to Seoul. Because then he would never have met Yibo. And that he could imagine even less. That's when he gave up Seo Joon, although he loved him very much, although he was Zhan's first great love. But he vowed never to do it again. He would never again give up on anyone he loved. And certainly not his Yibo. Even though they still had a lot of work to do, Zhan was convinced they would make it and that's why he would keep fighting.

Later, Zhan set out to find out what had gotten into Jiang Cheng. Had he fallen in love with Seo Joon and was now afraid to lose him? Was he embarrassed? Zhan didn't care. Whatever's going on in Jiang Cheng, he would find out. And hopefully they could solve their problems.
