I waited till my mother disappeared in kitchen and leaned forward.

"How do you know my mother?" I whispered. He looked at me and curved his lips up at one side.

"That's why you shouldn't miss family gatherings," he grinned.

"Wait, what the fuck?"

"We are relatives?"

He shrugged his shoulders and poked tongue inside his cheek.

"That's no possible. You're bluffing." I got back to solving. And dammit math is hard.

"Am I?"

I shot my head up and my eyes quickly drifted to his lips. He was biting down his lower lip.

"This topic isn't really necessary right now," I said clearing my throat.

I tried but couldn't focus at all.

Fuck this shit.

"How are we related again?"

"Are you curious?"

"No, I'm only asking because I know most of my relatives and you are definitely not in the family tree," I said looking at the kitchen in between .

"Well, which side of the family did you look into," he said brushing his hair back.

"What?"

I got back to solving as my mother emerged out of kitchen carrying a tray.

"I'm not hungry mom," I said as my mother set down the tray.

"Oh it's not for you. I saw you finished two bags of chips already. Didn't thing you would need something to eat. Here Jimin, help yourself," she said giving him a sweet smile.

"Oh, you didn't have to do it Mrs. Park," he smiled.

I glared at him as he popped a piece of watermelon into his mouth.

"You are the guest!" she said and left.

"Oh don't glare at me. You can eat if you want," he pushed the tray towards me.

I scoffed.

"You are in my home and you are offering food? To me?"

He nodded. Picking another watermelon piece.

I rolled my eyes.

I finished solving and slid the book towards him. He scanned it for few minutes and nodded.

"What you did is right. Excellent. But we can cut down few steps to save time. The solution you did is not bad for common school exam. But if you are attending a time bound competitive exam, it's really important to cut down the steps and solve the problem in a simple manner," he said and turned the page to write down a simpler solution.
