My cheeks were blushing bright red by what he just said. Shit.

Snapping out of my gaze, I follow him through the crowded corridors to the canteen. Sitting on one of the tables sat Ashleigh with a group of girls, and really hot guys.

"Kali," Ashleigh calls me, walking towards me before hugging me.

"Hi," I squeeze out, gasping for air.

"So, I have some people you need to meet," she smiles at me, leading me to the rest of the group.

I notice the boy sit down beside a really pretty girl. Long brown hair, brown eyes that sparkle, a slim figure and a perfect tan. She faces him smiling sweetly and he wraps an arm around her shoulders.

"This is Hannah," Ashleigh points to the girl.

"Hey, oh my gosh! I love your eyes," she giggles in a South African accent before turning her attention back to him.

"Thanks," I shyly speak.

"And you've already met Rebecca," she points to the short, tan girl. Short black hair, small body and ten-out-of-ten eyebrows.

"Hi agai-" she cuts me off with a tight hug.

"Don't be silly and by the way, Nash has been talking about you non-stop!" She pulls away smirking and I look over at the blue-eyed boy, who's slightly blushing.

I awkwardly laugh. Ashleigh introduces me to another tan girl. A dirty blonde with freckles on her face, beautiful blue eyes and braces. She seems lovely and by how she speaks, I know she's travelled or read a lot of books.

"I'm Ella, call me EJ though. It's nice to meet you," she smiles before re-reading some notes.

"Hi, Kali. Is that trig?" I ask curiously.

Even though she was apart of this crazy, out-going group, she came across as the more responsible one. I thought it'd be a good idea to make small talk with her so she could show me around later.

"Yeah, it is," she smiles. "Do you find it easy?" She asks me and I nod.

"It is but, the rest of math is terrible. I failed last year," I chuckle and she smiles.

"It's not the easiest. Well, if you ever need any help you can come to me. I'm not the smartest but I know a few tricks that I can teach you," she smiles at me and I sit down in the empty seat next to Ashleigh.

"So the boys from left to right are Shawn, Matt, Carter and Nash," so the blue-eyed boy has a name, Nash.

They were all beautiful human beings. They all smiled at me before I notice Carter whisper something to Nash who looks at me then Carter and nods.

Everyone was talking and just having a goodtime. I pull out my phone and someone taps me on the shoulder, it's Hannah.

"So, this Friday the girls and I are gonna hang out. We're not sure what we're gonna do yet but I'm sure you'll enjoy it just as much as we do. To get to the point, do you wanna hang with us?" I  met them 10 minutes ago and they're already asking to hang, that's surprising.

"I'd love to," I smile back.

"It's time children," Carter says and everyone's smiling except for me.

"Catch and kiss," Ashleigh whispers in my ear.

"You guys are so oldschool," I whisper back smiling.

"Kali, rules are boys chase girls, if you're tug you come back here and sit down waiting for the others. Once everyon'es back you gotta kiss the person who tug you," I nod taking in Carter's information.
