Time slows without you,
The ever so slow hands of the clock loudly ticking
Making me wish you were right there beside me.
As the night bleeds into the day, I find myself wishing
That we could run forever in the park, the birds whistling.
Time slows without you,
Making me wish you hadn't gone away sprinting.
Your hair trailing behind you as the others went swimming.
Instead of you right there beside me.
But now you are no longer part of the living
Your soul belonging to those who aren't singing
And once again, time slows without you.
You've escaped from my grasp, leaving me blinking
I'm holding onto those memories we had, clinging
Making me wish you were right there beside me.
But now I know for sure, there will be no bells ringing
The red swing in the park left swinging
Because time slows without you,
Making me wish you were right there beside me.
